Anyone Direct Purchase Add-on Points at BWV in the Past Year?

How was the process? Were points available immediately? Did you have to wait for your Use Year? How many add-on points did you buy?

Last September, I had called looking for a 50 pt add on with a fall use year, at that time they had availability for all fall use years. I chose September, gave my guide my CC # and was done. The process was insanely easy, points were loaded within 24 hours. I wished I had called in August because then I would have also received 2015 points, so keep in mind if you are looking to add on you might want to do it in the months before your desired use year to get the "extra" points.

We are not yet members, which may have some bearing on our experience, but I thought I would share since we do have some limited experience with the waitlist. We met with a guide in late February who was very interested in selling us POLY, but we really wanted BWV, so we asked to be put on the waitlist for a 100 - 150 point contract, any use year. The guide called us back the next day and said we would be number 98 on the wait list. This seems in stark contrast to the PP, who was able to get add-on points right away, but I'm guessing that people wanting add-ons have a much easier time than those looking to buy in initially. Or our guide is really messing with us, which I'm hoping is not the case.

In the interim, we have been able to get an offer accepted on a BWV resale contract. If it makes it through the ROFR adventure, we will then be looking for a small add-on contract direct. Hopefully our add-on experience will be much more like the PP!

It's also possible they had between 25-99 points for each of the use years I was looking for, but not enough in any one UY to cover 100-150 pts. They can't change the UY of the points so the wait list could be for larger contracts in a given UY.
