How many of you decorate your room when spending the holidays at WDW? I told DH that I wanted to take some lights to put on our balcony at BCV when we are there at Christmas.

All I got was the old...   ...like I was crazy.

Let me know how many of you decorate for Christmas at WDW!!!!! I KNOW there are a lot of you that do!

Karen

oh....and I know DH is reading this, so make it good! ;) ;) ;)

I do Karen! We have a little tree in our room and this year I am taking lights for our balcony! i have seen people put wreaths on their doors but we have never done that...yet!;) I am having fun with the van this year (we drive down). Decorations hung inside, snow on the windows etc. IT"S CHRISTMAS and you will be in the happiest place on earth....ya GOTTA decorate!!!:teeth:

LOL...I just today hung lights on my balcony at the Dolphin :p
I'm sure Ray Sharpton will too when he arrives next week ;)

Next Christmas 2003..I'm planning on doing the whole nine yards...tree, lights, and wreath.....

I have Disney Christmas decorations packed for our room & door onboard the Magic on Saturday! 3.5days to go till we leave!!

Hey Dream!
I did not think of decorating the van! We will be driving down in Dec. What a great idea! I wonder if DH will like it.......oh well...

Back in Dec 2000 (1st wk of Dec), while staying at Shades of Green, we brought:

A 2' tree from the Disney catalog complete with Disney decorations (don't forget the extension cord!!!)

Window clings for the sliding glass door & hotel room mirrors

Mickey Santa ears that we already owned

All of that stuff takes NO room in your suitcase.

I also made WDW Christmas cards (& enveloples) ahead of time, with a cute verse basically stating that we were at WDW now (while you read this card). It's modelled after the "Twas the night before Christmas". CM's complemented on the envelopes. We mailed them from WDW. :)

Edited to include link for thread about card & link to the card online:

I bought a tree, lights and mini ornaments and had a ball decorating it Thursday night.

I love that idea of decorating the inside of the car! DH and DSx2 will think I am whacko but who cares? Snow...hmmmmm. Anyone know if there is any law about putting snow on the inside of your windows? Side ones only. I suppose I could hang some garland too. Hmmmm. Now you've got me in trouble. ;)

We always brought clings for the sliding doors. Last year, our first as DVC members, we brought a small fiber optic Christmas tree, lights for the sliding doors to the balcony (hung on hooks with suction cups, and yes, don't forget an extension cord!), and clings for the windows. I suggested to DH that we might want to leave the tree home this year...he gasped. (HE used to be the  one about all this Disney stuff...I keep wondering what happened to my old husband! But I'll keep this one. :) )

I saw your room from both the Swan and the Friendship boat, Mare, every day.

And who could not miss Ray's room at the Dolphin?!?!?!

We didn't last year...because I didn't think about it!

But, if we go again, I will definitely bring lights.

We saw a few balconies decorated & it looked so cute!

Decorating the car...what a fabulous idea!!!!!!!!!

A lot of folks do that at OKW! I forgot to bring the lights along when we last went in December, and I felt like:rolleyes: for NOT doing it!:p
