WOW! That's awesome!

:teeth: Yes!! I was so excited. I bought mine this morning from Orbitz. Had a fare watcher notice in my email. Got mine for $249 on AA!!:hyper: Funny though that American's site was still $100 more. Usually it is very comparable.

disneydeb- did you get your original tickets online?

What airline was this on? I would think with the price of fuel these days, the fares would go up! That's great!!:hyper:

i used southwest airlines and i had looked at prices and then call airline direct and got same rate because i didnt know how to book infant , also iif you go to travel site using yahoo tickets for delta from connecticut were down to 132 from 181 , but southwest went from 176 to 116 today

I booked SW too, but our tickets went up in price since I booked because we're going during April school break. I booked a long time ago because I knew this would be the case. FYI Deb - when you get your credit from SW, you can use it yourself or give it to anyone whom you like. They're the only airline that allows credit transfers to someone other than the original traveler. I've even booked fares just because they were low, even if I wasn't 100% sure I'd be able to travel on those dates because I knew I could always get a credit and apply it later or give it to someone else if need be.

THX bunches Deb!!
SW was kind enough to refund $60 back to our CC. :smooth:
More spending $'s on our cruise!!

~ Sandie :boat:

Not for our cruise but.....

We were able to get airline tickets over $65 cheaper than originally booked and from a closer airport.

($125 Round trip) Albany to MCO in May :p

Woohoo, disneydeb!!! I just changed my reservation with SW and saved $256. Thanks for the heads up on that one!

I don't need any air for right now. Just wanted to say how nice that was of you Disneydeb to write that post and save people lots of money!!

I was pricing tickets for my DD to go to Orlando from NY and the prices were all well over $200.00.

Today I checked Spirit and got her airfare for $165.00 R/T in June from LGA to MCO!!!

Thanks for the tip....

I booked with southwest as soon as the dates were available. I went on-line today to see if the prices had dropped, but I don't think they have. Should I call southwest directly? (We are cruising 5/15.)

Thanks
Lisa

Lisa, I had booked a couple of weeks after my vacation date came available. I booked a fun fare at that time. This time when I checked there was a Promotional fare listed. The amounts were from something like $38-$74 one way. I just chose the flight time that I wanted and went on to the next screen to check the price. I am now paying $96.70 per person versus my original price of $162.70. (That's total price with all the extra fees.) Of course, they won't refund me the difference, but they gave me a credit for the $256 to be used within a year. That just gives me a good reason to book another anniversary cruise for my husband and I next January.

I've been waiting for Southwest to put the Florida markets on sale. I booked our Birmingham/Orlando tickets yesterday for our upcoming May 15 Magical cruise. At just $95 roundtrip per person, we're savings over $300 for our family of 4!

I'm not going on a cruise :( , but am going to Florida in June. I just booked online with Delta on the 16th, checked online on the 28th, and the prices were $48.00 cheaper per person. I called and they gave me no problems issuing a voucher for the full difference. With all the media about airline prices going up, I was just checking to see how much they went up, and was shocked to see that they went down!

moocow35 . . . Did you say you got DELTA to issue a voucher for the difference in your airfare? I didn't think they did that. Did you have one of their 'cheap' 'U' or 'T' fares?
