Anyone cruised in Feb?

My DD has a school break in Feb and we are thinking about planning a Disney 4 day cruise. Anyone have any hints or suggestions for cruising during that time. Is it worth it?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

We did the 7 nt. Western this past February and the weather was beautiful. A little windy, but warm. We have also done a 4 nt. at the end of Jan. into Feb. and the weather was really nice then! You never know what kind of weather you are going to get in Feb, but we've gotten lucky two in a row!: We had worse weather in April then we did in Feb. You just never know!

We did a 3 night last Feb. over Valentine's Day - the weather was uncharacteristically cold. Even before we left the port, we needed sweatshirts on. Like I said, this was unusual weather (as Florida is known to have) for this time of year. We still had a fabulous time as I'm sure you will as well.

We did the 7 day western at the end of February and had good weather. The sea was rough part of the first night out, but after we got through that, it was a smooth trip. A little windy at times. We took along light jackets, but never wore them.

We've cruised twice in February & it has been wonderful both times. It's a good time of year (IMHO) because it is lightly crowded (except for president's day weekend) & the weather is often good.

I'd say go, but it's a personal choice.

We have done the 4-night cruise three times during Feb. without any problems with the weather.

Take your cruise and try not to worry about something you hve no control over.

Did you do that cruise this year? I was wondering if you were on our Wonder cruise? We were on CC on Valentines day.

Regarding the weather, its probably all relative. When we arrived at WDW earlier in the week, it was unusually cold (lower 60s?). However, being from MN, 60 in January seemed like a heatwave to us! We had sweatshirts on, but wore our shorts instead of pants. That was perfect.

We have only cruised in cooler months (Dec, Jan and Feb). If you are into snorkeling and such, the water might be to cold for your taste. However, for us, we are just happy to escape from 20 below zero!

We cruised in Feb. of '03 and the weather was wonderful. The water at Castaway Cay was a little cold for our liking, but other than that the weather was great!

We cruised last February and had perfect weather all week. 80-85 degrees and sunny. The only slightly bad day was at Castaway Cay. It was cloudy and a little rainy, but still better than the weather in Michigan in February! Getting back to Port Canaveral was a bit of shock however. It was freezing! In fact, it was warmer in Michigan than down in Florida that day! It made going home that much easier to take! I wouldn't hesitate to book a cruise in February. We are going back next February and can't wait!

We were on the Wonder Valentine's cruise in 2/03. We spent Valentine's Day in Nassau. You're right about the weather being relative. Being from South FL, we do feel the coldness quicker than others. I laughed when you said about wearing sweatshirts and shorts because that is normal winter attire for us. There were plenty of people swimming, but we thought they were all out of their minds!
I don't know about your cruise, but on ours; they had a huge heart made out of red and white balloons on the deck by the Goofy pool for Valentine's Day. Then for pictures that night had a special background. Maybe you can remember more and jar my memory.

Stingfancb. . . .My mom and dad from San Diego joined us on this trip. They definitely had the expectation that every day would be in the 80s. While at WDW that first day, they were bundled up in practically every piece of attire they had brought just to keep warm. We thought it was hysterical. It just seemed so much colder to them than San Diego, while we felt it was practically tropical. LOL.

We will be on the Wonder over Valentine's Day in Feb '05. I am going to try and get Palo ressies for that night - should be a popular spot but my fingers are crossed. I think that would be a really romantic spot to spend Valentine's Day/night.

We were on the same cruise as eagmommy and ksjayhawks. The weather varied from cool at Port Canaveral to hot at Cozumel. There did seem to be a lot of wind and ocean motion during the first couple of days, but I seem to remember the captain saying something about a cold front that had dropped from the north. Overall, the weather was great. Especially compared to home.
