Anyone collect the state quarters?

My dad has been collecting them for all of the grandkids. He gives them each one of the quarters when they come out and then he puts another set aside in one of those collector albums. It is kinda cool that he is doing this for all of them! When he was little he used to collect coins, but unfortunately they got stolen in one of our moves many years ago.....

:sunny:

My DH collects both sets for himself and both of our kids and my dad just started collecting for the rest of his grandkids -

I love when a new one comes out to see if I can beat my husband to get one!!!!!

My three kids have little books. I've been putting in quarters in my DD's book. I went into middle DS's room - 12 and noticed he didn't seem to have many. Hmmm could've sworn he had more, so I started sticking them in. Go in again.......and geez could've sworn he had that one. Finally I ask him and yes, he has been spending those quarters at the candy store. But he said - by all means keep collecting them for me Mom!

I started for DD & DS (each) but forgot about it. I guess I need to pull out the books & get started again - or I could give them to my mom, she remembers things like that better than I do.

I collect them for my 3 kids. I keep the books and they can have them when they are grown and can appreciate them (I hope!).

Yes I collect them, I have one of those little books too. :)

I'll probably end up giving it to my niece when it's all filled up.

Well, yeah...........only have a few tho, mostly left over from our trip in '02..........didn't even know they existed until well after we came home when a friend sent me one, which then prompted me to look though our coins we brought back with us & low & behold we had a few of them.

So, in answer to your question yes I do:D

This must be a grandfather thing. ;) My Father got the maps for the grandkids so my kids have been filling them in.

I have one of those collector maps for them. I've been collecting them since they first started coming out. I actually end up with a lot in my change from buying lunch at school. The lunch ladies always seem to have them first.

Yep, I have the collectors book too, but I'm missing a lot of 2004's quarters. Just came across two more though.

I bought books for my 2 nephews, and my DD and DS. I hope my brother has been keeping up. I always look through my change and the books to see if they have them. I do have quite a few empy spots in the books for the Denver ones, since here in NJ, we are closer to Phila. and not that many make their way this far east. (at least that is my experience.) We are up to date on the Phila ones, though.

My DD11 is. And I must say were are having the HARDEST time finding the 2004 ones. I think we have only found one of them so far.

We collect them too. We've got one of the maps hanging in our family room. Its getting pretty interesting now that they are nearly halfway through the series. Just got Texas a week or so ago. I think that's the newest of them.

I am! I think they are neat! I lost a few in our move this past June though. And I have some 2004's left to get too.

DS10 does. He has a map book for each set.
