I am going to Vero soon and have read that all resorts are checking people in early now? My reservation still says 4pm check in time. Has anyone been to Vero recently and got their rooms early? Thanks.

I can only speak for my trip this past August. Our room was NOT ready until about 4:30 on the day of check-in.

Thanks for the reply, Pinnie. 4:30 pm is a late check in. I wonder if getting accomodations after 4pm is unusual. I was able to check in about 3 pm last February at OKW. This is the first time our rooms were ever ready before 4 pm. Normally I have never planned to arrive before the official 4pm check in time but I keep seeing from people who have had success getting rooms earlier.

We have visited BWV three or four times a year and followed with a VB visit twice a year for the last three years. We usually arrive at BWV around noon. Our villa has been ready only twice, but we have only once waited past 2:30 pm to get into the room (and that time we got in right around 4 pm). We usually arrive at VB around 2 pm and have always gotten right into the room. With the current "room ready" assignment procedure, you should get into your room at the time you check in if a room meeting your (principal) request(s) is clean and ready to go without having to wait until 4 pm or later.

We arrived at 12:30 pm this July and our ocean view Inn room was ready. It all depends if the resort is full and when the departing guests leave.

If you are waiting for a Beach Cottage, those take a good 4-5 hours to clean, so if the departing guests don't leave until 11:00 am :( ..........don't count on getting into a Beach Cottage early unless it was vacant and cleaned the day before.

The latest our VB 1BR's have ever been ready has been around 2:00pm.

Thanks to all for the information. I have a 1 Bed room reserved and am driving up to Vero from FT Lauderdale after a 10:30am flight arrival. and was considering stopping along the way in Palm Beach (never been there) for an hour or two on the way to Vero. I never used to be concerned about check in time and requests being granted because I figured requests were honored by the date of the reservation. Now it leaves you wondering if you are penalizing yourself by traveling at a more leisurely pace to the resort and getting there later than the rest of the guests. I was trying to get some sense of whether I'd wind up hanging around and waiting if I arrived early but apparently there is a pretty good chance of checking in before 4pm.Thanks for the great information - I think I'll plan on arriving no later than 2pm to 3pm.
