Anyone change dates to get free dining?

My kids are on fall break Nov 3-7. We are going Nov.1 - 8. I have a Disney Visa but the dates of our trip are not included. I just can't see taking them out of school for 5 days to switch to free dining. We have the fall discount package which I think is a good discount. If we switched weeks, we could save about $340.00 more. What would you do?

I think it just matters what your comfort level with missing school is and what grade your kiddos are in. I am taking my daughter out of kindergarten for five days and to be quite honest, I'm stressing! If she gets sick between then and now, I'll have to consider rebooking for the summer. The reason we chose the time we did is because my disabled parents are coming and can't deal with the crowds or heat. It's kind of a "special occassion" trip for us. But if you asked me right now will I do it again next year when my parents will not come, I'd say "no". I'm not the biggest fan of missing school for vacations.
