Anyone carry a lanyard?

I don't use a lanyard, I use a small VB crossbody (that I purchased on board- Disney themed) to carry my cell phone for photo ops and on board texting with family. That is the only reason I carry my phone. I would prefer to be completely unplugged from my phone but I'd hate to miss an opportunity to take a photo!

on our first cruise we did not probably because we just didn't think to... on our second cruise they gave us them and we wore them all the time and found them to be very helpful

I tried lanyards but they didn't really help me because I always had a couple extra things to carry. I have a small cross body that I use. It has 3 small pockets, one of which is just right for my kttw card, and a larger picket that fits my phone/camera and my navigator.

We wore our everywhere except to dinner (pictures) and on excursions or shore days. We like to lay low in ports and blend in better with the locals.

We arranged a private tour in Columbia on the WBPC group and I asked everyone in the tour group to leave lanyards on the ship. One guy chose to ignore my request and ironically, he was the only one heckled and followed by the street people peddling their wears. He hated Columbia and everyone else thought it was a great place to visit. Maybe next time, he will leave his lanyard on the ship and try to blend in better with the locals.

Lanyards and other DCL identifying merchandise definitely target people as "dumb tourists" and make them more likely to get robbed or harassed in many parts of the world

Do any adults carry your KTTW card in a lanyard while cruising?
I'll also have a beer mug token, so I thought this might be easier.
Thanks.
We sometimes use the lanyard and other times just put the card in our pocket. It just depends on where we are going and what we expect to do.

Just chiming in since maybe it will help someone on the fence:
Of the 5 of us, I was the one who adamantly said "no I have pockets, I won't need it".
Yet of the 5 of us, I think I was the one who had one on the most, if not the entire time. I just found it easier. I never had to search my pockets for the card or the beer mug card. We got generic black ones from Office Depot for my wife and I. May have been the best couple bucks spent on the entire pre cruise list.

As someone else has mentioned, if you are a DVC Member and especially if you're a first time DCL cruiser (where you would not receive a lanyard at DCL check-in), look for the DVC folks kiosk in either the Port Terminal or onboard. They are more than happy to give DVC Members the red DVC lanyards.

I love the convenience of the lanyard even though I do always have a small cross body bag (my current favorite is my D & B Aulani one. Yay!!) for my miscellaneous odds and ends. It's just nice having the lanyard with my KTTW card at the ready for getting back in my room or whatever. Can't wait for my next cruise when I get my PLATINUM lanyard! Woohoo!!!

I wore my lanyard all the time on the cruise. It had my KTTW card, ID, a few dollars, excursion tickets when necessary, and I even hooked a hand sanitizer on mine. I ordered mine before the cruise from Amazon. A pack of 3 Frozen lanyards was like $8. I don't like things in my pockets and I hate carrying a purse. I got so many compliments, too, but a lot of disappointed parents when they asked where I got mine and I told them Amazon.

None of my clothes have pockets so I definitely use a lanyard on the cruise. That way, my hands are free for my camera or drinks, snacks, etc. We don't like the look of the plastic holder though, so we bought some that had a small cloth zipper pouch instead (frozen for me, big hero 6 for the hubby). I also put my credit card in there while on shore excursions and a bit of cash if needed. Not for everyone, but i certain find them handy!
