anyone buy these princess costumes?

Has anyone bought these princess costumes of seen anyone wearing them? http://www.buycostumes.com/ProductD...17103&PCatID=childcostumes&ccatid=childdisney They're really a dance costume, I think. They look like they would be somewhat cool. We're going in July, so I know it will be hot, but my girls definitely want costumes. So far, we have bought 3 different sets and all have been too itchy. Any advice?

I have seen these on several sites, and they have been discussed several times on here...I cant remember which site was cheapest but I think one had them for around 20 if you care to search. The people who have bought them say they aren't scratchy, sounds like thy have no netting under the dress unless you buy the underskirt for it. One of the reasons I want to purchase from them besides the not scratchy is that they have matching doll dresses.

I notice from the description that those dresses have a "sewn in panty." DD4 has a Tinkerbell costume that's like that, and it means stripping down to underwear every time she has to pee. PITB for everyone.

Dd has lots of princess dress up stuff, but her favorite dress by far is the Aurora gown we bought at DTD. The skirt is layered, with a nylon "slip" layer next to the skin, then several layers of tulle, then the overskirt- very full, but also comfy. The sleeves are tulle, too, but soft, so not itchy at all. I think the difference is that the fabrics are more like what you would use for a gown, and not the stiff scratchy stuff used in dress up clothes. About the cinderella dance dress, it's very pretty, but I wouldn't let dd wear that except for play at home or an actual dance recital. I'd be uncomfortable letting dd wear that around the park b/c you can see the panty through the skirt. That's just me, though.

The biggest problem with coming here to Florida in July is that it's HOT, HOT, HOT and humid. Most costumes are made of synthetics, which makes them very hot, sticky and scratchy. I've been lucky to have my mom make my girls dresses out of cotton Disney fabrics with the princesses on it. They get tons of compliments, and they are a lot cooler.
