50 points to finance.
Thanks so I am assuming when you buy less than 100 pts. like the current incentive ones....you pay full price per pt.???
We bought AKV for 100 points but in 4 25 pt blocks. How many do you need to buy to finance? Thanks

I bought them all at one time but could have just as easily bought them at different times. IMO, saving up and buying 25 points at a time is a perfect option for many people. IMO, financing is a poor choice for most situations. Good luck.Did you buy them each in 25 pt. blocks...at different times?

We are in the process of closing on a 30 point contract (resale) and then plan on buying 25 points addons with cash directly from DVC about 2 - 3 times a year until we get to our optimum usage level. We are going to do this for two reasons: First, we like to pay cash for everything. Second, it will be easier to pass on our DVC interests to our heirs if we have separate interests when the time comes to go to that great castle in the sky.
To give us choices. We don't go as much as we used to, are empty nesters and had not decided how many points we wanted to keep. Also with adult children we were thinking of adding their names to a portion but only likely 25 points (we understand the issues and negatives involved). At the time we owned 232 OKW points and 333 BWV points. We also own other timeshares and have been able to trade in for 1 BR units consistently any time we want to go. One of our options was simply to buy 25 points and sell everything else so we'd still have the member perks. Due to the incentives we decided to buy 100 (4*25) and then we would still have all options later including selling everything except 25 points or any other combination. As noted, smaller contracts also tend to sell for more.but why did you divide them into 25 pt. contracts?![]()

I have sold the OKW points, plan to sell the BWV points but am waiting to make a final decision on the BWV. I may cont to wait to see about the 2 new resorts and for the economy to recover somewhat. I have also still not made a final decision on the AKV points but have not yet sold any of them.ahhhh okay got it. So do you still have your OKW and BWV points?

We will keep at least some of our AKV points, at this time it's likely we'll keep all 100 but again, we have no made a final decision. It is possible we'll only keep 25 and do a day or two on property as an add on to a week off or a week where we've exchanged into DVC.
