Need to buy 2 twin mattresses good quality don't care about brand but want them to be fairly soft. Went to a clearance center tonight where we have usually gotten good deals on really good mattresses but they rarely have twins in. For anyone that has bought them in the last few years, what did you pay? There are so many different places to check out. I have a 6 month old baby and really don't want to go store to store and get caught up in sales pitches for days in a row. We are in the Atlanta Georgia area.

We bought one for our daughter about 2 years ago. Sorry, I can't remember what we paid. We went to Better Bedding, which is a chain in our area. All they sell are beds and we had purchased our own new mattress there. They only had 3 different twin sets to choose from, the low end, medium and deluxe.

At this time of year, Costco has their mattresses in stores. My sis bought her queen there a few years ago and it is nice. Their prices are great and they do carry twins.

Forgot about Costco. I will check it out. My membership expired but I also need new tires so the savings if I can find both may be worth it. thanks.

I second costco. We got a serta twin for $99. I also just got tires there and saved a ton over everywhere else I had priced. Can't beat the free lifetime rotation either!

There's a store here that sells tools, audio equip, and bedding. The twin bedding there is $79.

I just purchased a twin set from Costco for $299 in the warehouse. It is the serta waldron set that is on the costco.com for $429. It's really thick and nice looking.

I didn't even think about going to big Lots when I bought the kiddos bed. I would of saved a ton!

I bought one from a furniture store. It was a Jamison Brand with a built in foam pillow top. It was $369 for both pieces. I bought the frame at Sams for $30-40 because the furniture store wanted almost $100 for one.

I also bought an extra memory foam topper at Walmart for $40.

Hey - guess where the kiddo sleeps? - my bed - sigh

Do you have Slumberland there? We bought our DS a twin set there last summer. It's the Sealy Lights Out from their youth collection. It's very plush and DS absolutely loves it. A nice comfy bed for him made all the difference in our bedtime routine. He looks forward to going to bed and still tells me how much he loves his bed. I think we paid around $275 on sale for the set.

We just bought a twin mattress 2 weeks ago at Sams club. I can't remember if it's a Serta or Sealy. Sams Club sells one brand and Costco the other. Anyway it was $99, but we took it back, because it was so thin and flimsy. We ended buying the one from Costco for $150. It was so much better and much more comfortable. We did not buy the boxspring though, because my DD's bed doesn't need one. I think the boxsprings usually run 50-100 dollars. If you have a mattress warehouse near you, they always have a buy one get one free advertisement if you need 2 beds.

Sam's Club has $97 Twin Serta mattresses.

We got our DD's there. They had three different ones and we got the middle because it felt better than the cheapest and the most expensive was a pillowtop and it would have been a little high for her type of bed.

I just bought a set at a local mattress store for $229.

We got the nicer ones at Sams for our kids new beds last month, I think they were the $197 ones, they're very soft and comfortable for kids, we also got the $97 one for our son's new trundle, but it's not as nice.

Check Macys clearance. I got a Serta perfect sleeper for free back in March. We had done the Christmas charity donation and had $75 in rewards. The $689 mattress was kind of hidden behind some other mattresses with a ticket hanging out of the side with the clearance price. The ticketed price was $84, then a coupon and the rewards dollars made the purchase completely free, with $3.00 left on the rewards card. That is my deal of the year so far.

I bought a Serta twin mattress at Big Lots two years ago for $99.

We also got one at Big Lots of around this price. We only needed the mattress and not the box spring, but I don't think the whole set was that much more.

We bought one 3 weeks ago from Mattress Firm. (We live in Roswell, GA) I think it was like $220 plus tax. We tried the one from Sams for $99 and it was horrible. A lot of the other mattress stores have them for $99 as well, but they're super thin and feel like a rock.

Ours is a pillow top and is extremely nice for the price we paid. I'll have to check out the paper work to see what brand it is. We looked at the Original Mattress Factory, Mattress Giant, Rooms to Go (the outlet store near Buford had a bunch that were really nice and very affordable), Sams, and Mattress Firm. There were a few other places, but I don't remember them all now. (My husband is really picky and these are for the guest room) :rolleyes1

From everything we read, Tuesday is the day to go mattress shopping. Most people did it over the weekend or whatever, so they're usually willing to give you a better deal. We bargained and had them knock off about $55 since we were buying two mattresses.

Good luck!

We brought a new twin mattress and boxspring from mattress warehouse for $127. They were having a half price sale a few weeks ago. They had three different firmness-firm, firmplush and plush. Our local store get weekend specials every week so check them out.
Hope this helps...
