Anyone bought the guide from myairfaresecrets.com?

Ok, so I saw this banner ad at the bottom of one of the discussion board pages for myairfaresecrets.com

This guy is selling an e-guide on getting cheap airfare and other travel tips for $24.95.

Has anyone gotten this before? I'm tempted, but I'm leery as DH did this once with a Disney website (before I found the DIS a loooonnnggg time ago) and it was a total ripoff as far as information and I'm afraid it's going to be something like that.

I'd like to hear your input, good or bad.

Trust me!!!
IT's a ripoff!! There are no "insider" secrets etc.

Your going to get useless info like "airlines release sale tickets Tuesday nights" which USED to be true, but now airlines release sale fares at any day/time.

Your going to get things like "sign up for fare watchers." DUH there's one you couldn't figure out on your own!

And of course you will get some hints on ILLEGAL things like "hidden city ticketing" (For example, Nashville to Tampa is on sale with a plane change in Atlanta. Buy the ticket and just get off in Atlanta and save..) Yeah, after this the airline will cancel your return and can (and will) charge your credit card for a full fare one way plus take your miles. But these "guides" never point that out.....

I've been there and bought into the guide. My honest opinion is that the information is great. I was really hesitating on whether or not I should buy it, or just do my own research. In the end I pulled the trigger, and I was happy I did. Some of the stuff he talks about in the guide are quite amazing and it would be impossible for me to find them through any kind of searches. Overall, a very satisfied customer. That's my two cents.

Don't they teach better spam writing techniques at sales school these days.

Terms like "pull the trigger" are terms a salesperson uses, not a "satisfied" customer.

OP, don't buy it, there is a plethora of information on ticketing schemes available on Google if you dare attempt to fly that way. No need to pay for the info. Other than that there is no real insider information to airline ticketing.
