Hi everyone! I'm just exploring my options for this fall- we want to bring the kids to LEGOLAND one day of our trip, and I read they have a special rate for homeschoolers. After googling this, I found out our planned day IS one of their homeschool days, and the tickets are a substantial savings!

I'm curious if this is an easy process, and what exactly do I need to bring with me to show proof of homeschooling? We file a letter of intent each year with our school district, but that's something we fill out and turn in- not something they give us..... Any suggestions or advice? We live in Minnesota :)

I should add that a membership in HSLDA is well over $100, and would negate most of the savings anyways, so we don't want to have to go that route...

Does you county/city send back any confirmation of receiving your letter of intent each year or can you get one if you visit your county/city? If they do, I'd take that and my original letter of intent...they do look at proof for these tickets. If you can't get proof, the $35/ticket 2017 Florida PTA tickets might work better...

I believe we have to have the form notarized- but can't remember for sure. I'm pretty sure if I went into the school office where we turn everything in, that they'd be happy to make me a copy- they are pretty good about working with us on everything!

A copy of the notarized letter of intent would work, since that is on the list of approved docs for the discount:)...

We just went this past Monday. I brought a letter stating my kids enrollment with our homeschool group but when I went to pick up the tickets they asked for nothing - just handed them over .

They were pretty easy to work with. I didn't have documentation either. I emailed them a copy of a letter from our homeschool group in advance and they approved it.
