Anyone bought a frig and sent it down to Disney?

I just checked the entire list of frig swaps with no luck. Half of the swaps on the list were actually dead. I am going for 10 days in August and it may be cheaper for me to buy a frig. Has anyone ever done that? We are flying. Since there are 6 of us, I could check it with our bags but then it might exceed weight limit. I just hate renting a frig for $10 a day at POP. Any advice?

Have you thought about buying one from a store?

We once bought one for our two-week long trip. It was a small one, mostly just to keep drinks and milk cold.

It was about $60, but we were going to be there for 14 days, so it was worth it.

We left it in the room afterwards, swaps didn't exist.
