We will be at Disney for 2 weeks. I have an annual pass (to take advantage of the room discount), and had planned on getting 10 day-plus tickets for the rest of my family. After starting to do my planning for each day, I am finding that we could actually go to the park another 1-2 days because of my early arrival and late departure times. I do not want to spend the extra $$$ to buy AP's for everyone.

The discountorlandovacation.com/ website offers 14 day tickets that include hopping and the plus features for $322. I would definitely go for this, but from what I've read elsewhere, these tickets are really supposed to be for international travellers, although their website does not say that (at least I don't see it anywhere). So, has anyone purchased and used these tickets without a problem? I would be mortified to buy tickets and then get to Disney and they tell me I can't use them.

Hope someone knows the answer to this.

wow! if those tickets are attainable, they are well worth it... but they expire, no?

You are correct that the 14 day Ultimate Ticket (and the 21 day too) is targeted towards the international market. That's why it isn't available for general sale by every ticket outlet.

Having said that, a word about recent history of international tickets. For the past 4 years DOV and a few other wholesalers had been selling the old 10 day World Pass (like a UPH but included a breakfast voucher with purchase) and the 30 day Fun In The Sun ticket (same deal) to people in the US.

I never heard of any US resident having a problem with the 10 day in all that time. In the final year or so of the FitS, there were several cases (and I emphasize the very small, minute percentage of the overall picture) of US residents who were questioned when turning in the voucher at Guest Relations. Despite that, I never heard of a single case of anyone being refused either of these tickets that they had purchased by Disney.

As to DOV themselves, they are a very reputable licensed wholesaler who has received very good feedback on these boards and others.

They are expiring tickets (14 or 21 days after first use, depending on which ticket you get) and cannot have the non expiration option applied to them. They also have "must use by" expiration date as well so they cannot be bought and stocked up for future trips.
