We booked a deluxe room (2 beds and sleeper sofa) on-line with AAA. Received our room vouchers/tickets and the voucher states it is a QUAD room. I called AAA and they checked with Universal. They say it's a QUAD deluxe room. I'm just hoping they got the room category correct. Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks, Cindy

We booked with our AAA travel agent at the local office. This was our first time booking anything with AAA. We asked for a Queen Deluxe non-smoking and non-pet. We also had our tickets in hand before we left for Florida. Everything was just as we had requested. We stayed at HRH. I would definitely book through AAA again. :cool1:

mtblujeans - Our deluxe room cost w/AAA is about $396 per night but then we have 4 adults and have the extra $50 per night charge. This includes taxes.

JawsCPA - do you remember if your voucher said "QUAD" room?
Thanks!

I have never heard it referred to as a quad room. I would call the hotel directly and have then look up your reservation and verify the room type.

I never heard the term quad room either. Good advice for you to call Universal and confirm.

I called Universal yesterday because I forgot to request a crib and she told me I had to call AAA to do it because I booked through them. I also wanted to confirm my room requests and she said AAA would have to do that too. I called AAA and they said that the hotel should have been able to do that for me. It must of been my lucky day! After an hour later AAA finally got it all straightened out for me. Man I hate to see what would have happened if I had a major request. I guess I got the wrong person on the phone. If you don't get the answer you want ask for a manager thats what AAA told me.

My voucher said "Deluxe". I had originally researched rooms several months before we went and knew about the Deluxe rooms. However about 3-4 months before we left, I could not find Deluxe rooms on the HRH hotel website for our dates, using AAA, APH, or rack rates. This is why we decided to book through AAA agent. I was pleasantly surprised that we actually got our Deluxe room upon check-in as they weren't showing on their website.

Our rate was a complete package - we had 5 nights at HRH in Deluxe room and 3 "adult" 4-park flex tickets for about $2,200. Our "third adult" was our 11 year-old son. No cost for him in the room but he had to pay for an adult ticket.

Great time - would go again and book through AAA again.

I'll just bring my paperwork with me that I printed off the internet when making the reservation. It does state Deluxe room. I first tried e-mailing Universal and received an e-mail back that I had to call them with any request. When I tried calling, the person said because it was a AAA reservation, they couldn't do anything or tell me anything. So then I called AAA. She called Universal and they told me it was a "QUAD Deluxe" room. I'll see when I arrive on the 7th - There always has to be some glitch on vacation!!!! Last year we weren't able to get into our room until after 6 p.m. and then the safe didn't work and the toilet broke. Other than the drunk, singing, smoking people in the room next to us partying at 2 a.m., it was a great vacation.
