Anyone Book through Disney Travel?

Hi!

If anyone booked their Disneyland trip through the Disney web site and got a set of Stitch VMK collector cards, I would really love those cards if you do not play VMK.

I would be happy to send you or your children a postcard from Disneyland to help get the Disney magic going (or keep it going if you are already home).

I play VMK (Cazalet in VMK), but really I collect the VMK cards and these are the only cards I do not have. If you can help me I would really, really appreciate it!

I have sent over a dozen Disneyland postcards out to other Dis'ers so I really do keep my word.
If you booked through Disney Travel on the Disney website and got these cards in your package and don't know what to do with them, I would LOVE to have them!

First, thanks so much for sending the postcard to DD!!! You are totally awsome!! DD wants her card propped up in front of her when she's eating dinner ... I PMed you but I don't know if you got it or not.

I'l check our travel docs for the VMK cards - these are the small cards that are tucked in a paper "pouch", right? Can you describe the one you are looking for? You can PM me if you'd like.

Califgirl - Any chance these collector cards are also in AAA packages since they use Disney travel for their bookings? Just curious since our package should be coming in a couple of weeks.

I think that the VMK cards (Stitch Set) are only availble through Disney Travel Booking. It is a set of 3 baseball size cards. They are numbered:

15 of 30 Stitch Hat
16 of 30 Stitch Traveling Pin
17 of 30 Blue Traveling Trunk

My collection is, sadly, missing only these 3 cards. I live close to Disneyland, and have an AP, and we also have DVC so when I stay at DLR, we use our points. Sadly then, I will not be booking a Disneyland trip through Disney Travel. I would really, really appreciate it if someone can help me get these three cards!

They are not offered with the AAA package. They are only offered if you book your package online with disney, or over the phone using a internet phone number.

I saw the card for the stitch hat (number #15) on ebay. No wonder you want it so bad, it sold for $150!! Just that one card!!

We have tons of these VMK cards but did not realize what was valuable and what was run of the mill. Also, ds used a few playing the game for a short time so now we have no idea which ones are unused.

LOL fidoprincess, I don't want it because they are 'valuable' in someone elses eyes. I just collect the cards and would love to have these three to fill the hole in my collection. I have been playing VMK for over a year and am lucky enough to live close to Disneyland so I have been able to get the other cards through the quests offered at the Park.

The fact that I live close to the park, have an AP and also DVC precludes me from booking a stay through Disney Travel. I am hoping a kind DISer who doesn't play VMK would be kind enough to help me complete my card collection with these 3 cards.

I have sent a lot of FairyGodmailer postcards out to many who are planing trips to Disneyland, and I will continue to do that. I am hoping someone can help me out with these cards.

Califgirl, I just PMd you You can have mine since I've never even heard of VMK, and I doubt we'll be going to DL anytime soon before they discontinue that lol. Or rather, they'll be coming up with a new set of cards by then.

So it sounds like you can earn them by going on quests at DL? that sounds like fun! I should be that lucky (sigh).

MulanFan - you ROCK! I hope you and your family have a great trip to Disneyland.

If you would like to check out any of the in park quests, they are available to all guests. There are brochures at the VMK booth which is in front of Innoventions in Tomorrowland. It is free and there are trivia questions about some of the details in the park. There is a brochure for: Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Frontierland. They also have little helps on where to go to find the answers, and it just gets you noticing some of the Disney details, that otherwise you might walk on by. There is no need to turn them in, or even complete them if you don't want .. but it is a fun way to get to know the park a little better.

If you are interested in VMK (Virtual Magic Kingdom) you can sign up and create a character in Innoventions. It was originally geared for 8-12 yr olds, but I've met a lot of adults who like to play, too! Everyone is welcome and it is free!

Also, you can get a VMK card by going to the Animation Station in California Adventure & visiting the Animation Academy.

Now that Mulanfan is so nicely taking care of Califgirl... If anyone else is reading this and have booked a package through the Walt Disney Travel Company & got the Stitch VMK cards, I would also really like to get these cards. They are for a very special young girl.
