I am able to book our free dining trip on Thursday. Last year, I used AAA in May to book the trip. Since it is the first day it is open to the public, I am not sure if I should use AAA or just do it myself. I liked the fact that with AAA we got a special storytime with Peter Pan. Our agent also called us to come in and pick up our documents a few weeks before our trip. If you book through Disney, do they just mail you everything?? What if you don't know your flights yet for the DME??

Thanks!

I did, on Monday with DV. BUT, I insisted he call at 6 central time from his home, and then call me at home to make sure he did it. He did!:goodvibes

I would look into both. I plan on booking with triple A because they are saving me about $100 over all on a two person vacation at the value resort. As far as flights go the easiest way to get the rock bottom cast on flights w/ flexibility is "ITA software". www.itasofware.com Here you can check all available flights and the lowest prices for the flights. It's the same software used by travelocity and orbitz. Log on as a guest and search either your specific dates or choose to search over a 30 day period. From ther simply log onto the speciffic carriers site and book your flight. (it doesn't have access to SouthWest)

Hope that helps.

My AAA travel agent booked it for me last year on the first day of free dining. AAA will mail you the documents just like Disney does. It's OK if you don't know your flights. They can add DME and you can update the information later.

I booked FD for the first time on Monday through AAA. I also requested two online quotes from TAs who specialize in Disney vacations and got the exact same quote. I went with AAA b/c she was the one who got back to me first. I called at lunch (12p EST) and I had my ressies within the hour.

I'm moving this over to the Resorts & Booking / Codes & Rates board where almost all the booking free dining questions are kept. Try to keep all the best info in the correct place.

Thanks!

You may wish to check your reservation. The free dining and AAA discount cannot be combined. The free dining is the discount, and the room is at rack rates. I cannot imagine how your rate would be discounted on the room portion.

That is true. You can get one discount or the other, but not both.
