Anyone book a year in advance?

I booked in Feb. 2003 for June 19th, 2004. The price just goes up on Disney cruises, so the early booking discount is good motivation. At the time I got a good stateroom, and was able to tell the travel agent to upgrade us if something better came along, and it did. Someone who had booked a category 3 early on had a change of heart or a change of dates, and we were able to grab the room. (It's pricier than what we originally booked of course, but it's what we really wanted.) If I didn't decide to book early and let our wishes be known, we may have missed the opportunity. If people are going to bail on the expensive rooms, it usually will be early and not at the last minute.

I then had over a year to pay the bill!

Good luck planning!

Booked both of our DCL cruises more than a year in advance and just booked a Jul 2005 cruise with NCL last week. As most people stated already, cabin selection and pricing is what leads me to do this so far out. - Mike
