My travel agent has talked to several CMs and is told APH rates can not be booked by a travel agent. But, the APH site indicates it can.

Has anyone had an agent sucessfully book a room at APH rate?

APH tends to refer to Universal Studios, rather than WDW. Which are you referring to? Assuming you're referring to WDW (since you referred to CMs) I don't remember reading that travel agents could book those rates and still get a commission.

Hi,

I am assuming you mean AP rates as in Annual Passholder Rates. If my assumption is correct the answer is, yes, a travel agent can book them for you if they are avaiable for your time frame. In fact I am writing this from my room at POR and I booked these rooms via an online travel agent.

I do mean Disney AP rates and I called reservations who called customer service who said that the travel agent has no facility to book AP rate as it is only available through the passholder gateway online.

My TA is really frustrated with Disney right now.

Thanks for your reply. Here is the bottom of the page once you go through the AP reservation area and select a resort:

Terms and Conditions
If you prefer to book by phone, call (407) 939-7429* or call your travel agent.
† Offered room rates include tax, but do not include any costs for selected room options.
* If you are under 18 years of age, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to dial this number.

Does it say whether or not the TA gets a commission for it?

Yes, TA can book these rates. I'm a TA and I can see and use the AP rates. With the changes in the program, you have to be booking them in advance (min 60 days).

If you need further help, please let me know.

Here is what is listed on the TA site with the AP rate. Maybe you were trying to book outside this window?

Passholder Best Rate Program - Rooms must be booked at least 60 days in advance and a non-refundable deposit of 1-night room charge and tax must be paid at the time of booking. Currently this Program is only available for arrivals through 04/13/06. The number of rooms and nights available for this Program is limited and rooms are not available every night. This Program is subject to change or discontinuance at any time and without notice. Passholder must present valid Pass at check in. Please check our Terms and Conditions for important information.

My TA (DU) booked our room via the Annual Passholders Best Rate Program, as far as I know she will still get commission!
