anyone been to the waterparks recently?

we're thinking of making a last-minute trip to do the waterparks next weekend - arrive saturday, do TL and BB on sunday and monday. just wondering how crowded it's been. if it's super busy, we're more likely to stay on-property (if possible) and take advantage of the EMH. if crowds are manageable, there's not as much pressure to stay on-property for this visit. either way, we need to plan something out if we want to go in a few days!

On Saturday June 9 we went to TL. We were on our first slide by 9am. Within an hour or so, we did practically everyslide, some more than once. We stayed until 2:30. On Thursday, June 15 (?), we went to BB. We were there around 9:30. It was very, very crowded. We only stayed until around noon, and went back to OKW pool.

When we went 2 years ago we stayed off-site and arrived @8:30 am for a 9 am opening. we got the spot we wanted and had very little wait for the first hour. At TL swim the sharks first. At BB do whatever big rides you want to really do first. We went on the family raft ride and got to 3x in a row without getting back in line.

KarenB, thanks for the input on your recent visit. Your TL visit sounds a lot like our May visit to BB in terms of the crowds. I'm wondering if the difference with your june 15th visit has to do with saturday vs thursday, TL vs. BB, or just a bit later in june when more schools were out.

MidgeD79, thanks for the tips on what to do first at TL. we did BB recently, so we know what we want to do there!

We were at TL last Thursday. It was very crowded even tho we took advantage of the morning EMH. We were there when they opened the wave pool with very few people so that was neat. By noon, the place was packed!!!

We went back yesterday (Sat) and were pleasantly surprised to find TL not crowded at all. We got there at 10:30 and had our choice of chairs. Great way to spend a day when you have an evening flight home!!

We have been to both several times with the most recent being TL on THurs. JUne 1. I guess it all depends on the ages of your party. We went to TL mainly because of Crush N Gusher. Since we could not ride last year since I was Preggo. My family likes BB a lot more than TL. It is me, DH, DS (11), DD (8), and baby boy. The reason we like BB more is the rides to us are better. Yes the wave pool at TL is better. THere just seemed more to do at BB. I hope this helps. Also it was very packed at TL and not a lot of options on gs to do. This to say that it rained off and on and it did not change the crowd level.

thanks piglet. we have the waterpark AP, so we're going to do both park either way. interesting - another thursday person who reported crowds (it coudl have been the same thursday anyhow),

any input from someone who's been recently that WASN'T on a thursday?

We always go on Sundays and Mondays (DH's days off) We were last at TL 2 weeks ago - we got there late (about 11) and had to park at the further lot...we were still able to find good seats and didn't find the crowds to be insanely large.
We find Sunday and Monday to be easy days, I think you'll be fine!
