Just wondering what the prices are like, and what sets they have that might be suitable for a 5 year old boy and 8 year old girl? Both are lego mad, so it'd be nice to have an idea of how much I should expect to have to spend in there so I don't get a fright when we're there :rotfl:

I've been stung a few times with things in the Disneyland Paris shops that cost loads more in Euros than I can get it for in our Disney store so with the Princess Lego already available here, I'm only going to let DD get something if it's a Disneyland Paris exclusive.

Was in there today, am not sure of normal Lego prices but it seemed v expensive to me. A phantom man nor kit was I think €229. The sydney opera house kit was over €300, the store was very busy but nobody was really buying!

Oh no! Maybe we'll just go in for a look so, if I can get away with that. I've already taken note of the cost of the sets here, and I wouldn't mind paying a little bit more (just a little bit though, lol) if they wanted to buy a set over there. Most certainly won't be buying €200 or 300 sets though!
Thanks.

My DD is a mature nearly 6, she loves LEGO friends and the new LEGO Princesses so I would say they would be suitable for an 8 year old girl. Not sure about boys though, there's so many options! My young man is a Batman fan already so if I were buying for him I'd get something in the superhero range.
We just got the Merida Castle set down here in Australia for AUD$29, that was the only one in the shop so not sure what prices the other princess sets will be - I think squiggly could be on to something about only getting something if it is an exclusive :)
I get what you mean though about getting something from there if its only a little more expensive, it does make it more special.

As part of our England/Disneyland Paris trip later in the year we are going to Legoland in Windsor - I'd love to bring home a set of a landmark such as Big Ben if such a thing exists

Big Ben Lego does exist as part of the architecture range :)

Thanks :) I went and googled it after making my comment! I figured if the Sydney Opera House existed something UK must, I'll keep an eye out for it or similar on our travels

just saw it on FB...

The prices at the new Lego Store in Disney Village are cheaper than the for the Lego items in the parks.

For example: this Stars Wars item from Lego is 39€ cheaper at the Lego Store than at Star Traders in Discoveryland.

cannot copy pic but the set on pictures is LEGO STAR WARS 10240 Red Five X-wing Starfighter

Wow .. €39 is rather a large difference! I wouldn't be very happy if I bought in Star Traders and then visited the Lego Store afterwards! :sad2:

I think I read on twitter a few days ago that the Lego Store would be offering AP discount later in the year. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, can you use Lego VIP cards like in stores in the UK/online?

I don't think the VIP cards are valid in another country as it's not run by the UK company (same as the Disney Store where you can only use the Countries own current offer).

I can't say as far as the DLP store but I've been to the Lego store at WDW and DL and they did have some unique sets that I had only seen there but there were plenty of more generic sets that were available at local department stores at much lower prices. I sort of assume it's the same way at DLP.

Nothing unique to the store unfortunately but prices don't seen to bad. I picked up three of the small Chimnea sets for 10,50€ they were 10;00€ at val d'Europe. Will be going back over next few days so if anyone wants me to check anything let me know.
