Anyone been to the House of Blues Hotel in Chicago?

I just booked an anniversary weekend trip for DH and myself. It looks like a cool place; anyone stay there? Any feedback? Thanks!

We stayed there last summer. Its pretty cool, but we thought the rooms were very small and we even had a "deluxe room".

We stayed with our two kids.....not recommended. Its really not kid friendly. For a romantic anniversary trip, it should be nice. There is a nice bar area in the lobby, but we didn't get to hang out there. The HOB is right next to the hotel and you should check their concert schedule. You might get to see a great show.

Its off the beaten path but still within walking distance of Michigan Ave, etc. We even walked from there to Navy Pier and we even walked back from Wrigley after a Cubs game.

Thanks, luvstiggertoo! We actually are already Loews First members, which is how we came across this place. This will be our 16th anniversary, and it is the first time the kids are NOT coming along on a trip with us! It's good to know there are places to go within walking distance. Did you have a car with you? I am wondering what the parking situation is like?

We did not have a car with us as we flew in from Florida.
Friends of ours drove in from the burbs for one night and parked at the hotel. I couldn't tell you what the rate was. I know parking around downtown is pretty steep.

We love Chicago, but have yet been able to get there without the kids. They expect their annual Wrigley Field outing!

I would love for DH & I to have a romantic weekend there.
