we read in the 2005 version of the UG that nine dragons has revamped their menu and it's now pretty good (lots of dim sum choices). on our quest to try every disney restaurant ;) we were thinking about giving it a try. i'm not expecting chinese food on par with restaurants we've been to in san francisco, but i would like it to be edible. ;)

any recent diners have opinions?

p.s. i'm not worried about the msg i keep reading about. neither dh nor i have a problem with msg.

It's edible and actually pretty good. I was surprised by how good it was. Like you I wanted to add to my list of restaurants and I want to eat at a restaurant for lunch that honors the 10% AP discount. We had the Lunch sampler for two which was a perfect amount for two. We did'nt have a PS seating and were seated right away.

Nine Dragons Review

We ate there 10 days ago. We've always enjoyed it, but agreed that it was remarkably good this time. DH and I shared honey sesame chicken, stir-fry shrimp with garden vegetables and the house special fried rice. Everything was delicious, the service was great and we had a window table with perfect timing to watch the acrobats. Nice way to start our trip!

This restaurant got my DDs started on Chinese food. It was very good - better than most of the restaurants we went to on that trip. My husband thought it was the best. The food tasted really fresh instead of that taste you get after it has sat at the Chinese buffet. It had most of the same choices you would have at your neighborhood restaurant, but just tasted better.

We have dined there twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times! DH had the honey sesame chicken and I had Kung Pao chicken. WHen we went in October these were both available as choices on the dinner for two, this time the Kung Pao wasn't one of the choices. Since the sesame chicken had been so tasty before we had the dinner for two with double sesame and then I ordered the Kung Pao off the menu. For a family of four that was not a significant difference than ordering two kids sweet & sour chicken meals and the dinner for two. The food is well spiced and portions are quite large. We agree that it was a pleasant change after reading the negative reviews both here and in the UG. We ahve a PS thre for the upcoming trip as well. Can't wait!

We ate there a on our last couple of trips and it's now a must do on every trip. Many years ago we ate there and were not impressed. Last year we decided to give them another try and we really liked it. We loved their hot and sour soup. BTW on the site I read, it says there is NO MSG in any of their dishes.

We had gone the last 2 years and it was good. The Dim Sum was really good as well. We always get the Chicken & shrimp dim sum (my favorite) and the BBQ chicken balls(My husbands favorite) but on allearsnet.com they took the Dim Sum off there menu.

Married@wdw was Dim Sum still on the menu?????
