Anyone been to Hilton Head at Easter?

Hi everyone,

Looking for what HHI would be like during Easter. How's the temps and any
good family activities, I heard it's off season so not alot is going on.

Anybody been that time of year have experiences?

When we were searching for information, we didn't find much at all. We couldn't even find many pictures of the resort. We went in September one year. I did take a few pictures of the resort and beach area. There are plenty of golf courses and a lot of shopping outlets. As far as activites at the resort itself, I am sorry but I can't tell you what will be going on. If interested in resort photos, PM us with your e-mail address and we will be happy to send them. In our opinion it is a very nice Southern laid back resort with Spanish Moss hanging from huge OLD Oaks. Very realaxing place to visit. The resort has a bus that will take you to it's own beach house where there is a pool overlooking the beach. To us the beach was not what we were used to, but you still have the pool.

Exactly what dates are you planning on going? I have a coupon for up to 20% off but there are only certain dates you can use it.

Unfortunately those dates aren't included on the coupon. 10% off 3/30/08 to 5/24/08 and 20% off 2/19/08 to 3/13/08. Oh well, it was worth a try.

My wife and I have visited Hilton Head during Easter Week for 4 out of the last six years. I am big golf nut and love visiting that area. The temperatures that time of year can be quite variable. The highs can go anywhere from 72 up to 80. It's usually great because the weather is perfect for laying out on the beach without getting incredibly hot. However, the ocean water is still quite cold at that time of year. It's also a beautiful time to make the short drive over to Savannah for the day.

Easter week falls very early this year, so you should miss the increased crowds that visit the area during times when Easter week coincides with the Masters and the PGA Tour golf event at Harbour Town.

I have been to HHI every summer since I was 6 months old(I'm now 34) and love it. Very relaxing and great weather this time of year. The one thing you want to ensure is that Easter does NOT coincide with the Heritage golf tournament. The island's population swells by 50%!!! Check this out before you go. Many of the islanders leave this week to avoid the sheer volume of people. If you have any question, feel free to PM me. Enjoy!

We went two years ago over Easter, but it was in mid-April. We found it to be just warm enough to enjoy the beach and pool, which is heated. We opted to go in the summer this year because I suspact Easter, this year will be cooler since its earlier in the year.

We will be there this Easter so interested in any advise. We have a DD 15 and DS 13.
