Anyone been to captain Jack's lately?

After hearing awful comments I am questioning whether it is a good idea to go to this reataurant on my dining plan.

When going to DTD, the choices are quite limited, wish RFC were on the dining plan.

Any comments , for those of you who have gone recently?

I had lunch there years ago. It was just fair. Seems like most reviews here are negative. There are some really good places to eat at DTD, you might want to reconsider. The Wolfgang Puck's across from Virgin was terrific. I'm seeing a lot of positives about Earl of Sandwich too.

Cap'n Jack 3 times first in mid 90's and it was great,second time 02 and was bad,thought they maybe had a bad night, so tried 3rd time in 03 bottom line if you held a shotgun on me I would eat there again.I can't think of anything else that would get me to eat at Cap'n Jack's.That said some people love it but I think you will get 10 who dislike it, to everyone that likes it.Sorry I can't be more positive for you.I did give you my honest opinion and experience.Still mine is just one opinion,hope others will post to give you information on the experience they had. Grotesque. Sorry - I don't hold back when it comes to Capt Jack's. It's the worst restaurant in WDW. I'm so hard on it because (a) the lakeside location is so great (b) it's the only DTD restaurant that's Disney-operated; and (c) it's the only leftover from the quiet 1970's days. It should be better than it is.

If you go, I suggest eating something simple at the bar BEFORE dinner. On a weekend the place is a madhouse: they don't take PS's.

We ate at Captain Jack's last summer for lunch. It was very good. Service and food. I like to go there. JMHO.
