Anyone been to Boatwrights @ 7:30am?

Made my ADRs the other day for 11/20 - 11/27/08. Made a ressie for Boatwrights Dining Hall at POR (our hotel). Was told that when they open they do something "special". Has anyone ever been there when they open in the morning and can shed some light on the "special"?

We have stayed at POR twice in '06 and we ate breakfast there just about every morning we were there. We would wait until they opened every morning and there would be other parties also. The only thing I remember is all of the servers would come up to the reservation podium and get the party personally and then seat them. That was about it, nothing special unless they have added something since we stayed.

Hummmm. Guess that doesn't sound like anything "special" to me. Maybe something has changed; we'll see. I have 7:30am ressie one morning during our stay there.

I was there at opening on 5/24 - nothing special happened.

For some reason, I think I read another poster say that they were asked to ring a bell... Maybe that's the something special that happens???
