I went to their web site www.efairfield.com
We signed up a timeshare and got our rooms for $99.00 for 3 nights and we bought another night for $69.00. We were told and the letter states when we go thru this presentation we got $30 dollars back, a $25.00 certificate at an area resturant and something else. so if I added correctly $99.00 and take away $30 and add another $69.00 comes to about $140.00 for 4 nights. The hotel is the Ramada Gateway and Inn www.ramadagateway.com

So if anyone has been to a Fairfield Timeshare pres...please tell me what its like..
Thanks

I've been to their presentations but not in FL (in Myrtle Beach, SC). They were not high-pressure, they had great properties and the people were nice. I know from experience that if you go in and say from the begining that you are absolutely not interested, then they try to sell you harder. Mostly if you say oh, yeah, this is nice, they sort of back off and let you sell yourself. I've been to many with Fairfield and actually have realtives that own fairfield and they love them. If i do a timeshare, I try to find a Farifield before I look at others. HTH

We just went to one. We got two free nights in a hotel (we have to pay $50 in advance and will get the money back when we show up..several areas we can use them in.). We got a buy one, get one for a local restaurant, but they were out of them and said they will mail it. We got a savings bond ($50) we have to mail for (but they forgot to give it to us, so since we remembered before we left the parking lot, hubby went back in and they said they would have mailed it). We got 4 round trip airfare tickets..you need to rent one room per two to use them (through them). Prices of hotels are reasonable, but you have to stay 7 days to use them.

We told them going in we were interested, however would not make the decision on this day..we needed to go home and pray about it, and discuss it. The original person was very good with that..just said we wouldn't get the same price.

She brought in the "big guns" at the end. Said she didn't do the actual end "speech". We were so turned off. The first thing out of this persons mouth was, "Why do you say this is a decision? Are you guys not able to see what a wonderful deal this is for you? This is no decision, this is a done deal." We then told her we were nto interested, and she said if we decided within the next few days she would honor the price. It took almost 3 hours.

The Disney presentation is much classier IMO.

I would hesitate to purchase a timeshare from Fairfield. My late mother let me (and my sibs) her Fairfield time share and we fought over who HAD to take it and pay the dues. We tried to sell it, but it would only bring about $750 (dues run about $350 a year). Buyer beware.

My DH and I own with Fairfield and love it. Our kids are still of an age where we try to take one "big" family vacation a year and have used our timeshare each time. We've been to several of their presentations and let them know at the beginning that we can't afford to purchase anymore points at this time. We haven't had any problems when we do that and are usually done within 1 hour.

Good luck!

15 DAYS AND I'LL BE AT WDW!!!

YIKES! We did one in Williamsburg. Absolutely one of the worst experiences ever. It was fine until we said no. Then it was horrible. They were practically yelling at us and still trying to coax us into buying. I left in tears. We were there almost 4 hours. I would not recommend doing it. I had to demand our bonuses as well.

The best thing for us was that our stay was in a very nice hotel very near the Colonial area. But while we were in the waiting room, we overheard others say they were staying at all sorts of other places including a Red Roof Inn. The wouldn't tell you where you were to stay until you checked in.

Marriott on the other hand has great sales presentations and no high-pressure sales.

Hi all...I didn't I started this post wrong . Fairfield had called us about the 4 day /3 night trip and we tok them up on it. I am also a Public Safety Officer and I don't think one of those guys will get in my face and try to intimidate me .They called me Not the other way around. I hope our experience will be okay.
