I would like to know this too. I have nov 5-12 planned but thinking of changing to december 2-9 instead. Would like to see Osbourne lights. Does anyone know what the dates are:santa: ?

This is a great time to go! You have the benefit of all the holiday decorations and low crowds. I went the first week of December two years ago, and the week before Thanksgiving last year. Both were amazing times. Crowds were minimal, and the longest wait we had was for EE one afternoon and for Soarin. Both those waits were about 20 minutes. The parks close earlier at this time of year, but you can easily do everything at a park in one day.

Make sure you take the time to visit the various resorts to see their decor, especially the Gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian. MVMCP is wonderful also! The Osbourne lights are my BF's favorite! Its probably the only thing he'll miss when we go this September.

Definitely bring a sweater of some sort....it does get cool in the evenings. Otherwise, enjoy!

We've been this week several times. Crowds get lighter as each day goes by.

You will run into Mousefest, which can be fun, toward the end of the week. (It doesn't really seem to effect crowds, though attendance gets bigger every year) Also, they film the Christmas parade at MK in there somewhere, so you'll want to avoid that park that day.

If you have the option, we have been the second week in December too, and it is even better than the first week. But both are great times to go.

I love early December to visit WDW---it's a great way to kick off the holiday season:santa: Be sure to visit a few deluxe resorts to see their holiday decorations, too.

The only negative that I ever heard was that the value resorts get crowded with Pop Warner people (think exuberant footballers/cheerleaders). You may want to check out the Pop Warner dates--but if you're not staying at a value resort--you'll probably never know they are there. :hippie:

It's very quiet the first week of December. I wouldn't hesitate to go back during this time at all. Low crowds and mild weather! :thumbsup2

The first couple of weeks are pretty good. Low crowds, more room availablity and you still get to see all the great decorations. They also have Mickey's Magical Christmas Party certain night then as well.

I think that is the best time to go. With all of the decorations, extra events, nice weather and moderate crowd levels it's a win win win win situation. :) Plus, it is value season, so the rooms are cheaper. If at all possible, I would stay away from wherever the Pop Warner kids are staying. They aren't too bad, but they are loud...and never sleep. We stayed at Pop Century one year and it was hard to sleep over the noise. Next year we were at SSR and didn't hear a thing. We ended up going during that time back in 2005 because we moved our wedding up to the weekend after Thanksgiving and honeymooned at Disney. What a blessing, needless to say, my wife and I both agree that we would prefer that time of year over any other...by far. Spring is my next favorite. When I was younger we used to go in the summer. It gets a bit cool at night, but it is usually very nice during the day. Not much rain and temperatures are usually in the low-mid 70's. We took family with us last year during that time of year; one of them used to live in Florida and has been to Disney many times, but never that time of year. She also agreed, and said that she would prefer early December over any other time. You will love it. :santa:

The first week of Dec. is prob the best time of the Holiday season to go. We went on the 3rd - 6th to DL once. The crowds from Thanksgiving were gone, and the new crowds from Christmas had not yet filled the parks. I plan on going in the first week of Dec again this year.

I am going to go ahead and book for then. THanks for all the advice. Can't wait to go.:cool1:
