Anyone been last week of Sept.?

We are going the last week of Sept. and I was wondering if anyone has been then over the past two years. I want to go when there are no waits or crowds and I think this is one of those times. From your experience, am I right? I am also going to try to rent points for a studio at BCV. Do I need to do that now since it won't be at a very busy time or can I wait a few months to see what codes for other resorts come out?

I go the last week of Sept every year and we love it. The crowds are very low and the heat is not as oppressive (it's still hot and humid, though, but I'm used to it... I live in So Fla). Last year we lost a day due to hurricane Jeanne, but the parks were open the following day and it was business as usual. It's amazing how organized and prepared they are for this kind of situation. Be prepared for afternoon showers, every day, usually from 2-4 pm; you can almost set your watch by them. So make sure to pack your ponchos.

I've never rented points but we're new DVC members and are going for the 1st time next week. I made my ressie for Sept about 7 months in advance (way after my 11-month window) and had no problem getting a 1-br at SSR for the dates I wanted.

I usually go the last couple weeks of September every year also. It's great. The weather is still good and the crowds are usually light. It might pick up a little the last couple days of the month this year though, as there is a MNNSHP on the 30th.
