What are the crowds like the day(s) after Labor Day? Trying to plan next trip and we have young kids, so we try to plan when there are lower crowds.

Many Thanks :)

Crowds is always a relative thing. They do get smaller after the holiday itself, but if you want to be sure it will be lower, I'd wait til the following week. Some folks will keep their kids out for a couple of days of school, but by the following week, the number of school aged kids should be much lower.

Disney has recently been offering free dining during this time, and that does increase crowds to some extent. Everyone likes "free"!

And you didn't ask, but please be aware that even though it's September, it's VERY hot still. You'll still see temps in the mid 90s with high humidity. Great pool weather!

We're going to give that time a try next year too.....we're booked at the WL for 9/7-9/16. I know it will be hot, and hurricane season, but I'm hoping for a nice, quiet (relatively speaking) week at the parks. I remember seeing pix on the boards from that time this year, and it was VERY quiet. We were there 9/25-10/2, and it had definitely picked up by then - thanks to free dining, F& W Festival starting and MNSSHP. Hoping it's a little slower earlier in the month. Good luck! :thumbsup2

p.s. Traci - noticed the new picture. Another darling outfit on your girl (I had asked about the last outfit a long time ago)

We went the week of Labor Day 2005 and LOVED it.Very little crowds. We never needed fastpass and rode our favorites multiple times ,sometimes without getting off. :thumbsup2

That is the same outfit you asked about awhile back! When she wore it for our 05 trip she was 8 months old. It was a little big on her. I packed it this last trip and it still fit. It looked even cuter because the swing top didn't hang as low and the little bloomers showed more :)

Thanks again :) :)

We went the last week of September and we thought the crowds were very managable (we have dd3 and ds1). We got to ride everything we wanted to with very minimal waits. We had a really great time.

we went that week this yr and it was great! We arrived Sun of Labor Day wkend, went to MK that night for EMH, it was busy but not to bad. It did rain so that may have helped the crowd level. Mon of Labor Day, I can't remember what park we went to, it was less busy as the day went on. By supper time it was dead! From Tues on all rides were basically walk-ons. Never needed Fast Pass. Posted wait times were generally 5 or 10 min, usually just the time it took to walk thru the ques. Didn't have problems with the buses, but did wait for the next one a few times when leaving parks at night so we wouldn't have to stand with small kids. We had the dining plan and it was great! My ds13 actually managed to eat enough that he wasn't starving an hour later! I would definately make ADR's, they were turning people away from every TS restaurant we ate at.

We've also been the next wk and found crowd levels to be just as low.
