We have priceline resies with Wyndham - I was curious to find out about recent stays using priceline.. thanks!
90 days +/-!!!:pinkbounc :pinkbounc

via priceline. I had ressies for two rooms. I signed up for "Wynham by request" prior to the trip. I called about a week before our arrival and requested non-smoking connecting rooms (and gave my Wyndham by request #). We arrived on May 10 around 1:00 pm and our rooms were ready. We had connecting rooms on the 22nd floor with fabulous views. This is a great hotel. The turn -down service is wonderful. I can not say enough positive things about this place. The is a $8.88/ day resort fee, but we did not mind as we had gotten such a great rate thru priceline. Have a great time!

We stayed there in January thru Priceline. We had a great view of DD. We also signed up for Wyndham by Request. They gave us a fruit plate with two water bottles. We weren't charged the resort fee, but when we were there it was freezing and we never used the pool.

Our whole family enjoyed the resort. We had one king bed with a pullout couch. Since we have teens, dh and I were able to leave them in the room in the evening. We enjoyed the piano bar for 30 minutes. Then went to the downstairs bar for some great music for an hour. Have a great time!

I'm hoping we have a good experience at our upcoming stay. I'll be happy to post our experience when we get home.

I also signed up for Wyndam by Request. We'll see if they do anything special for us. Hopefully they won't charge the resort fee for both days. On the first night we won't arrive until very late in the evening.

Thanks for your responses! It certainly looks as if everyone has been happy with their stays at Wyndham through priceline! I did sign up for Wyndham by Request. We arrive LATE on a Thursday night, I am hoping that they will have a room with a view for us. Has anyone been upgraded to a suite or to concierge through a priceline stay?

Thanks!

It is important that you call or email Wyndham ByRequest and let them know you'll be there. With priceline reservations they do not know that you are a ByRequest member unless you tell them. I think they need to know ahead of time to set it up for you.

ByRequest Member Services (888 )994-2227

Or you can log into the byrequest area on the website & send them a message with your member # & your confirmation number.

They should at least honor your special requests for water, etc.

I called the hotel directly and added my by request number, is that sufficient or should I call the Byrequest number too?

I'll let you know how it goes. I actually did priceline for Friday threw Sunday night and booked directly for tonight ($109). I figure this way I might actually have a chance for an upgrade and also we have 5 people and wanted to make sure we got 2 Queen Beds. I also did WBR and called the hotel directly to add it to our reservation. On another note, when I called reservations to add the Thursday night, they said they were booked up and there was no room. BUT then I went to their website and there were plenty of rooms available!!! Go figure! I won't arrive until around 10pm this evening and better not get bumped!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL (unless of course I get bumped to the Polynesian, I won't mind then ;) )

Thanks Hezell! Be sure to fill us in on your stay! Have a great time!

We had water, beer, fruit, turned down bed and chocolates through Wyndham by Request. The Hotel was wonderful. Only complaint was the walls seemed a bit thin (loud TV next door). The 15th floor was a wonderful view. Priceline guarantees a room for two but WBR allows you to request two queens, extra pillows, etc.

THanks!
It sounds like you were pleased! What did you think of the pool? Was your room large? Did you rent the fridge? or were you upgraded at all? AND.. what was your view from the 15th floor?
THanks!

About what are you guys getting Wyndham Palace for on Priceline? Was thinking of bidding for 4 star resort through Priceline. Never did this before. Am booked onsite, but wasn't able to get last day so only need booking for one more day, but want somewhere nice. Hard to find any discounts end of June, very booked up!

Priceline Help

I tried to add an additional night to our stay last week through priceline but there seems to be no more WP availablity right now with priceline. Check the link I gave and that should help. THere are some great 3* that are going for around $40 with bonus money. Good Luck! BTW- I paid $33 + $20 bonus money per night via priceline a couple of months ago.

Wow, $33? That is great. Is WP 4 star or 3 star? Might get lucky. If not would be happy in another of the 4 stars. Wanted to try to bid on a 4 star resort so I don't end up disappointed.

WP is a 4* BUT it looks like no ones had any luck with the 4* in the past couple of weeks...people have bid upwards of $100 and been rejected. The 3* really are not bad either.

Wyndham Palace is a 4*. We got the Renaissance World Gate in the WDW zone. It sounds very nice and is a 3*. I have heard of at least 1 of the 3*s that people haven't felt was up to par, though. Good luck on getting a 4*.:p

When you quote $33 + $20 bonus money, what does that mean? what is "bonus money"? And what are the four 4-Star hotels? Swan, Dolphin, Wyndham, and ???
Thanks for the info!:bounce:

Earlier this year there was an American Express Bonus opportunity where they would add $20 to your bid per night (up to 5 nights) Until May 31,2001 there was a $5 bonus money through smarter living. I don't know if an available now but here is the link to find out more about bonus money! Hope that helps!
