A guy my DH works with was at DIsney the week of MArch 16 through the 23 they were there with another family that go to WDW every other year whereas the guy my DH works with hasn't been there in 15 years!!!! (poor guy how could he have stayed away that long!!!!!)

anyway he said when they were there the parks seemed dirty

bathrooms with towels and litter all over (very undisney like) and they had to wair 45 minutes for a bus one morning.

the couple was very discouraged about all this!!

so my orginal ? anyone that has been there lately notice this or was it just bad timing on there part.

thanks for any replies

Must have been bad timing, or else he stumbled upon a dirty bathroom and the wait for the bus felt like it was 45 minutes.

We were there March 23rd- March 28th... the parks were clean, as were the bathrooms. The CM's were all great, and the waits for busses were 5-10 minutes at the most. It was said to have been much more crowded last week than the previous.

I hope that this won't sour your friend from visiting again.

We were there the 21st -26th and the parks were clean. We were talking to an employee who did say that cutbacks had been made and it used to be as soon as any type of trash was dropped, it was immediately swept away, but not anymore. However, we didnt notice this at all.
As far as the buses go,sometimes, if you just miss the bus and have to wait for the next one, it seems like forever. Its happen to us on occasion.

I would say we noticed a little of this at MK in October. More trash laying around, certain things were looking worn, paint peeling. DH and I both mentioned it.

We didn't really think much of it but I can see where it might be discouraging to someone who hasn't been there for a while or who was on a first trip.

I guess it may have to do with the cutbacks.

I'm sure once we get through the current world situation and things start to make a turn around in the U.S.-people feeling more secure in their jobs, safe, and just a general better feeling among the population-things will turn around and Disney will get back on it's feet-hiring people back, updating attractions and just generally making things feel more "Disney".

I was there last week and everything seemed fine to me. I never waited long for a bus and the bathrooms were in order.

We were there 14-21 and thought it was fine as far as the cleanliness (at least in the women's restrooms and dh never complained).

We never had that long of a wait for any bus. Even the longest was less than 10 minutes.

I'm glad everyone that was at WDW the same time our friends were had the usual Disney magic vacation!!

I was relived to hear that it was bad luck and not that Disney is slipping!!!

We'll be on the Disney cruise and WDW for our 25 anninversary next year cant' wait:bounce: :bounce:

we were there for our honeymoon and then it was just MK!!!!

lots of changes in 25 years!!

DH and I were there the 21st-25th. The parks were very clean-cleaner than November of last year. Bathrooms were spotless as usual. In November at Food and Wine in Epcot my husband did hit a nasty bathroom-throw up and DIRTY. He left to find another one:)

The busses from AKL were fantastic. No waits in either direction and never crowded!

We were there the beginning of March and everything was spotless and magical. The only time we had a wait for the bus was mornings heading to MK. The only time I saw a bathroom slightly messy was in WS at the end of the night as we were leaving and there was a CM in there cleaning it then.
