Anyone at Vero Beach over July 4th

I am considering going to Vero Beach for July 4th 2006. How was it this year or in years past? Busy? Need to book way in advance?
Also how busy was WDW Last week?

We were at Vero this past weekend - totally full. We have been there many times when it was sold out, but the pool seemed more crowded - maybe because it was so hot and the shark scares. But we still had a great time.

We spent the 4th at Vero in 2002 and we checked out on the 4th this year. There were plenty of folks at the resort both times. We had no problem getting chairs at the pool and the beach was great. I did not sense any great concern about sharks. We had no problem booking a garden view room at the seventh month mark. We never had a problem getting into the resort restaurants.
