So! Happy New Year Everyone!
Anyone at the parks today?
Is it busy?
And question, why doesn't Disneyland have a webcam?
And yes! I am still working on our wedding pics and Trip Report... coming very very soon!!
:goodvibes

We love the webcam at the Santa Monica pier we always call family and have them look at it while we wave from far away....Maybe DL doesn't want you to see the crowd and get scared away and stay home?

I was in both parks yesterday! MUCH better than the day before (which was still manageable) and they seemed ad crowded as they would be in summer. Lines were much shorter than they were the day before as well and we managed to get quite a lot done in both days :)

ok so does anybody know how busy it is today at the parks? is it "safe" to go today now that NYE is over? :lmao:

I'm at home curled up on the couch under a blanket with the pup while DH watches football and not at Disneyland, but...

It should be fine. Historically, the days following NYE are very nice in terms of general crowds - and you still get the Christmas entertainment and decor.

If it's rides your interested in, if you trust Disneyland Wait Times, the longest wait in DL is 25 min for Space Mountain. Only it, Splash, and PPF are over 15.

We are going later today to see the FW and snow. Hope it doesn't rain and the crowds are less. I did just notice that the parks are still open late tomorrow, Monday, the 3rd and that holiday entertainment is still there. However, today, Sunday, is the last day that all AP are blocked, except premium. Tomorrow, everyone can go. So I would expect Monday, the 3rd, to be pretty busy what with AP going for one last holiday visit. On Tuesday teh hours are shortened and the holiday entertainment is gone so that's when things should really drop off crowd-wise. That's why January is one of my favorite months to visit DLR.

Our school district is off the whole of next week. This may have a slight impact on crowds this week as I know many who are going, but it still should be a drop in the bucket compared to the last 2 weeks. ;)

ok so i am going to take a guess that oh maybe it's not so crowded with the ap's that are blocked(not the premium or premier) and probably most of the NYE guests/crowds have gone home...so then it is a good day to go! :rolleyes1:yay:::yes::.. and the rain has not started YET! :yay:

^ Exactly.

Tomorrow I would expect to see it crowded. "One last chance to see it before it's gone."

That's my thoughts (it will be nice to take advantage of being a premium APH) but checking the weather and it says it is raining right now and may stop around 4 and start up around 7-8. Hope if it does it's not enough to stop the FW and snow. Current temp is 54 so I will definitely being wearing my thermals and drinking hot tea! And I think I'll wear my long coat which I don't get much of a chance to do here in So. Cal.

I'm about 30 min. East of DLR and it just started raining (drizzling really) I didn't even notice until I checked our weather and it said it was raining. ;) We may even get snow on teh foothills behind our house tonite. Snow may drop to 2500' tonite. If it does we will be going to the snow just outside of Yucaipa. Oak Glen is a great place to play in the snow and not too far of a drive.

Especially after APH get off work. :scared1:

If you go up to Oak Glen, wave to me as you drive through Yucaipa! Hey, we might even get some snow here too! Right now it's still rain though. Have fun if you go to DLR tonight for FW!

i never made it to disneyland today, not even to get photos!! it started to rain when i left home.. i was so bummed!!

Oh Sara, too bad! It did start out as a nice day but declined rapidly as the afternoon arrived. Ugh. I have done DL in the rain but it really is (to me) just so much better if you don't have to deal with getting soaked and so many puddles!
I live close enough to pick and chose my days. When we lived on the east coast and would travel to WDW, our trips were generally every other year for one week ... So we would go commando ... Crazy non stop! :headache:
But living in SoCal, I never have to worry about that anymore so DH and I love to leisurely walk around DL and DCA and stop in all the shoppes and walk all throughout DTD and just take our time hence for me the SUN is a big plus!!!!!
