Anyone at DL right now!? How busy is it!?

So jealous that you can just decide to go...and GO! :cool2: Who cares if it's busy! Just go! And...have a great time!:)

Cannot get there today but the weather should be good for park visits. Overcast, threatening to rain or burn your nose off, and a bit breezy. If it stays overcast then fewer people hopefully.

If you are around on the 3rd I will be there.

If my wife isn't sick then we might just be there!!!!:goodvibes

i think the lines are bigger at Churros and Turkey Leg carts than the lines for rides... :D

We were there from Sunday thru Wednesday. Sunday, and Monday was pretty darn crowded. And really Tuesday and Wednesday wasn't what I'd call off season. Certainly not low enough for them to be closing at 8 pm!

Of course I've seen worse, but I like just walking on rides! LOL

I was at the Disneyland Hotel tonight and there was no parking for Downtown Disney. Long line of cares making u-turns to try to get into the parking lot but a suit was out there telling people to park over at the Pinocchio and parking structure. I did not see that many people there to warrant the lot being closed.

Rainy at times and a bit of breezy, too.

Hey, we're planning on heading over there on the 3rd too! We were going to go last sunday but didn't get much sleep the night before and I didn't want to be too tired to enjoy DL. Look for my LGMH!

name a place and time and I will see if I can haul some Calvin rump over there. pm a reminder if need be as I am sleepless right now.

Speaking of Disneyland being busy, has anyone tried out that new iphone app that gives a map of Disneyland and then lets users at the park- who have the same app- upload wait times for the rides? It lets you look at a map with a close-to-real time status of wait time for each ride.

I really want to get it and probably will as the current iphone app I have is just a map of the Magic Kingdom (which rocks and has been very helpful but is not interactive in anyway and doesn't help me plan my next ride based on how much time I will be standing in line).

I will prob. get it tonite and try it out as we are going back to Dland tomorrow (was already there on Thursday and the crowds were minimal) and would like to know the lay of the land (wait time wise) considering weekends can be a bear for waits.

Spidey

That sure does sound like an interesting application. What will one think of next? ;) :)

I was there the same days and I disagree. Crowds were quite low compared to summer visits. I do wish the park opened at 9 instead of 10 but certainly the 8 closing was okay. I think the fact that MM wasn't until 9 allowed most guests to be there in time. Walking on rides is nice but we only waited 30 mins for TSMM and TOT was walkon, screamin was 20 mins and the longest I ever saw the indy line get was 50 mins sunday night. :goodvibes

I have the app. and love it!!! Comes in handy when people update the wait times...more people need to get it though so that they are listed more often!!

Well, that's hard to say. DS has to keep moving so not sure he will stop long enough to wait for a meeting and it's unpredictable where we will be exactly since we just go by which lines we think DS will tolerate waiting in. But we will be getting there around 10am and will be spending a lot of time in fantasyland. We're also thinking of eating at taste pilot's grill but it's not a sure thing and I'm not sure exactly what time we will be there. My LGMH is on my baggalini which DH is nice enough to carry for me when I'm carrying DS. If you see a guy with a LGMH that says "LavenderPeach", that's us!

I am the fat lady with the dirty old beat up Lark 3 scooter alone. I have a blue captain's chair on it and it is payday so I may be looking at ways to make it less beat up looking. The basket is too small for my needs so I might check out some stores for that. I have a lot of stress problems so craving a nap.

How about I park at Partners around 10 am and anyone wanting to see me can. I have two eating plans. A. Taste Pilots and B. Give Blue Bayou a second chance and C. try a DCA restaurant like Award Weiners as it is my goal to try every restaurant in the parks and hotels to see if they are GF and allergen friendly restaurants. So far I am doing 99% as I do not like asparagus, lol.

LOL! Okay, I'll keep my eye out for you! Did you say that you have a LGMH on your scooter? I was thinking you said that before but wasn't sure if i was remembering right. I would feel pretty stupid going up to some random person on a scooter thinking it was you! :rotfl:

The place was pretty quiet this afternoon and evening. Hopefully it will stay that way for you all tomorrow.

Oh yeah - don't eat the lobster roll at Award Wieners. I paid for it in more ways than one.....

You are the official Taste Pilot for Disboards.:lmao:

I was thinking of having Calvin get on but thanks for warning me. Is there anything I can eat that is good? I heard the sliders were ok but without the bun who wants one and I rather have a cheddarburger.

Yes I have a mickey on the tiller, taped to the back of the seat and hanging from my giant red messenger bag. I planned to do more but ran out of steam due to gluttony, where are the Rolaids. I ate a lot of Peps as they are gluten free and no soy, dairy, chocolate or egg on the label that I could see. Gluttony is a sin I am paying for unless I get them rolaids. :lmao:

So anyone else up for a meet and greet this month. Weather looks good so far.

I would try the special salad at the Taste Pilots and the hummus and veggies at the Farmer's Market. I wasn't overly thrilled with what I've had so far - although the cheese soup at the Pacific Wharf is good. I took an order of it home and had it the next day for lunch - it was so thick I had to cut it with some skim milk! :rotfl:

I still want to try the seafood martini at the cove bar - it sounded good.
