Anyone at Disney now? Any lovebug sightings? 😳

Is there anyone at Disney now that can let me know if they are seeing any lovebugs swarming?

We were there in May and it was awful! We are flying down tonight and my son just said that he hopes there aren’t any lovebugs this time. I would love to reassure him!

We just got back from Disney yesterday and the love bugs are there but not bad. I am from Texas and we get the same thing. I never saw the swarms just a few here and there. Even the minni van drivers we were talking with said how bad they were in May.

I saw a couple the other day, but not nearly as many as I have in the past, and not enough to report about them either. So I wouldn't worry or be concerned about them.

They are starting but not in "full bloom" yet lol

They haven't been too bad so far but it's possible it could pick up. I washed my car over the weekend and they were all over the place

We saw just a few at disney the weekend of the 14th. We live an hour from disney it's not bad here (yet) either.

We are local and yes, the love bug season has started. Not bad yet though.

We were there in May and it was awful!

Guess it depends on your definition of 'awful'. We were also there in early May this year and while they were bugs around, it was no big deal. They were mostly around the pool or bus waiting area, but only at certain times of the day. They don't bit/sting like some other bugs and we considered them more of a nuisance. Didn't see any at the park, so I assume Disney applies bug spray during off hours to keep them away.

Saw some yesterday at AK. No big deal. Mild nuisance on only 1 occasion, when maybe a couple of dozen were in one area of Pandora. There were a few people totally freaking out over them though (while everyone else had their "what is your problem" face on).

We were there 5/23-5/27 and it was at the very end of the “very awful” time. I heard that the two weeks before were unprecedented due to the April rains.

We arrived last night and didn’t notice any at Disney Springs but there were a decent amount at Hollywood Studios today. Mostly around the cement walls at the entrance and in Star Wars Land. Less at the resorts that I noticed.

Adding on the my previous post, we were at MK all evening and I did not see one lovebug! Nor any at the Poly or our hotel all afternoon. They must have all been dying to see Star Wars land like the rest of us!

It seems to be related to where you are located. We started our trip at Universal last Friday; saw nothing at the resort or the parks. Saw nothing at Disney Springs on Wednesday, but when we arrived at All Star Movies, it was pretty bad (but not as bad as May). None at CBR or MK; a few at Epcot.
