Just got a tweet from Jason Garcia of the Orlando Sentinal

Disney testing new fastpass system at Animal Kingdom. Passes distributed from central location rather than at individual rides.about 1 hour ago from TwitterBerry

Apparently started two days ago.about 1 hour ago from TwitterBerry

Today is Tuesday July 21...

Just wondering what is happening how its working etc?

I would think it would bunch people up - as in the examples reported at Studios for the Toy Story Mania Fast Passes :confused3

(and if its working why change it?)

I would like to know if this is currently happening. I personally would like it better. :)

So exactly how does this work and where are the machines located? If this is happening I would like to read more detailed info on this.

ITTBAB, park opening to 3 pm for the remainder of the week.

I suspect FPs are still available at their regular locations, this is just testing feasibility of centralizing them or more likely, to allow any FP machine to distribute for any attraction. however that may work.

I like the idea. If they could put the fastpasses for the safari or EE in the center of AK near the tree it would lessen crowds near the attractions. Africa is usually wall to wall people.

Agree that not only Africa is a wall of people but so is Asia. I am not sure this would change it much but it could not hurt to try it out. I would love to hear a report on how this went this week! :)

I can understand why they would try this at AK since it's such a long walk from one fastpass attraction to another. I'm curious how it works out.

We are headed to the World on Monday:banana: so I will update then.

Is anyone there now???

B:yay:

I would also like to hear more about this. I think it's a great idea. I hope they do it at Epcot too. How great would it be not to have to fight all of the crowds and walk all the way to the bottom of the Land pavilion to get Soarin' Fastpasses!

Did they say where it is located? I love this idea.

Great idea - especially for Everest & Safari. This would also be nice for DHS - RnR & Tower.

I said where it's located. and when it ends. see above.

My wife just made another good point. Now everyone is going to get FPs for attractions they may not have before since it will be much less of an effort to get them (they don't have to make the effort to actually walk to the attraction to get them).

Bump. Just gotta know if this is true. It would sure be a time saver!
