Half the time it rings busy or doesn't answer. I did get through twice, but it just tells me everyone is busy and call back later. No call queue?

Anyone get through or at least into a queue?

Been trying since 8:59am, every 5th call or so i get the first stage where i get asked my member number, then "everyone is busy call back later"

No luck for me either. Apparently Annual Passholders got a first crack at the tickets at 7? On top of the points requirements, this is pretty much a face slap for DVC, I guess.

Calling Disney from the West Coast blows.

AP's started earlier? Well, that sucks. I can squeak buy with half my borrowed points - I have 297; enough to book on a few select dates if they do not fill up. But I am doubtful I will get in before they do seeing as how all I get is "call back later" <click>. Which is very rude

I purchased an annual pass and called into the AP queue at seven. 2.5 hours later my call was finally answered, and I was told that they had bumped me out of the SW queue without telling me because it was full, and I'd been on hold the whole time to be told that I had to call back later.

I also called into the DVC line at 9, and like everyone else got the busy signal and then the message that no one was available.

I'm in the queue. I can do 86 points for one of my kids. I called right at 9. the Queue was 296 minutes.

I assumed the first guest had to be points and the rest could be cash. Can you do the 1st cash and then points for the second? That would make things much easier for me.

Wow..... That's really crappy. I am so sorry that happened to you. That's not right.

Pricing is just like for a Disney Cruise where it's per person and the first 2 adults are the same rate. If one adult and one child, the child rate as person #2 is slightly lower (between 20 and 30 points lower). The 86 points that @lishie noted would be for a 3rd adult (ages 10+) in the room.

Well not cheaper since it was reported you can't just do one of your kids you have to book on points for the full party supposedly.

From the Member website:
Because this is a Disney Collection Exchange opportunity, at least one person must be booked on points. Other Guests can make cash payments.

Yeah, I got that. But if you have only 100 points, you can't pay cash for the first and second person + the first 2 kids and then only pay 86 points for the 3rd kid, right? At least not for this exclusive offer. You have to pay person 1 with points, then you can pay cash for the rest of your party?

Correct I know where the information was incorrectly posted. Someone had verified and even called yesterday to verify you need to book all guests on points.

I personally haven't looked I am just outlining so people are not caught completely surprised. Hopefully someone can verify when trying to book and report back.

If you can use points for only one person and they do the same that they do with DCL cruises, it can be any passenger on points.

Interesting. So I could technically use the DVC exclusive offer for any of the dates and just invent a kid? Yeah, I would be losing a few points, but I wouldn't have to complete with the public sailings on Oct 28th. That's a fair exchange.

Yes. I have a 10 year old "Disney "adult." my goal is to book him on points and pay cash for my husband and I and our other son. We'll see if it works.

After 34 attempts (that's getting through the queue to get hung up on later in the queue) I am on hold. Wait started at 10:29 and estimated 253 minute hold.
I don't even know if I have enough points, I'd need to purchase one time use points + 100% borrow from future year. I am assuming that 1st or 2nd person has to be booked by points, but if I can use points for a third person then that's different. I'm thinking the odds for me being able to book are 3,720:1. ;)

(I called yesterday to confirm only one person needs to be on points, and that was confirmed to me as "yes." I didn't ask whether it was 1 or 3rd person though.)

Good luck! But, I'm sure you know since you have been ready to go and book that you can only borrow 50% of next year's points not 100% but maybe you meant you 100% have to borrow, which is I guess what you said LOL

Hope you get everything you want!

I do not believe you can book for a guest and not have that guest show up.
