Anyone a WDW prep school member? Is it worth it??

Hello all,

I just stumbled upon wdw prep school website for trip planning and I am loving it. I was considering becoming a member, but the packages start at $15. The most expensive one is $75! Yikes. Has anyone signed up for this and felt that it was worth it?

Also, side note: Is there a link to disboards posting etiquette? I feel like a post a lot, kind of like the annoying kid in class who raises his hand with a question every 2 minutes. It would be great to know if there is a post limit

I don't know anything about membership there, but I will say it's a great site for info, especially for first-timers.

What do you get for membership?

I just looked at the memberships. Except for the highest level ($75) which gets you 1:1 planning time with a member of their team, I think the rest are overpriced and probably not worth it. There are many sites out there where you can get what she's offering either free or for a much more affordable price.

A lot of her information is lifted from bloggers who actually live in Florida and are in the parks on a regular basis.

I can't imagine she offers anything that you can't get for free or for a much-lower price from those other sites.

I agree. I don't see what would be worth it on the site. A lot of it can be found elsewhere for free.

It seems like the stuff you pay for on her website is the same stuff that's on touringplans.com. So if you have that I wouldn't bother.

I never use the WDW one but the DL Prep School site is wonderful (pretty sure they are off shoots of each other). There was nothing that I paid for though. I still follow the blogger that does the DL info on FB. She's great

I really liked her site. Now I think there is a ton of valuable information out there online. But knowing how great I think her site is, I can't help but think for a first timer (her site has a ton of helpful info for first timers) the $15 subscription could be worth it! $75? No thanks.

I don't see the need for paying for this type of information is worth it.

1) Planning yourself is part of the fun
2) A lot of that information can EASILY be found for free.
3) If you are going to WDW for the first time .. I feel you just need to experience it somewhat "plan free" .. you don't know what you are going to like until you are there and try it yourself.

For $11 with a discount rate, you can get touringplans which offers the set touring plans that she has as well as access to the software system to create your own custom touring plans that they fill in approximate wait times, etc.

I did not prefer that website when I was planning my first trip. I send first timers to easyWDW.

Can we just talk about touringplans.com for a sec? My SIL paid for a subscription because its her first time. *let's ignore the fact that I'm totally insulted that she didn't ask me for planning help* She is going in July. Her plans say the wait time for Peter Pan's Flight at 10:51 a.m. is 6 minutes. SIX MINUTES!!! I've never seen it that low. Most of the wait times for some of the most popular rides were WAY short. I don't believe this is at all accurate based on my experience. I know they say that have historical data, etc. but in they only thing shorter than a 6 minute wait in July is for the bathrooms!!! Your thoughts?

I have gotten a lot of useful information from her site, and she is a super nice person, but I never paid for any membership. I use easywdw for crowd calendars and planning tools. All free and very accurate.

We used them last year and this year. Last year we set everything up but really did not follow it. We went in September. This time we are going in June. I have always heard to do Peter Pan at RD but Touring Plans wants me to do it at like 11 with a 30-45 minute wait. I will follow it somewhat but will use common sense of my own.

I have followed WDW Prep for about a year. She does have a lot of good information but since I found the Disboards I have been getting new info quicker her then from her. She does do a Q &A on facebook once a month where you can ask her questions. I have asked her questions on other days and she still answers them. The information that you have to pay for you can get on your own for free. I will not pay for it.

Depends on the day. Seems low to me, but you have to trust the plan. I can say the only time we haven't had a stellar day is the one day we didn't follow the touringplan

you can e-mail them and if there is a glitch, they will acknowledge and fix it right away. Usually they are very close.

Did she put in that she was using a FP for that ride?

That is what I have heard also. I would not pay for anything when there is so much good info for Free.
Your first Visit and easyWDW are the best.

I have always found their wait times to be right on target, both on the touring plans and on their lines app. I agree 6 minutes seems insanely low at that time, was that a misread or maybe the wait time with FP?

I have the $25 membership. There are some neat features. It let's you create a daily touring plan by the hour, then plots the attractions on a map of the park. You can print out plans in nice neat formats to take on your trip. I agree all her information can be found here on the boards or on other sites for free. But it is nice having it all organized and consolidated the way she laid it out. There are definitely still some kinks to be worked out, but overall I would say it was a good purchase. I've spent $25 on worse things lol
