Just curious because I recently heard that Disney has signed a letter of intent to purchase all of the parks and I've searched the internet and can't find anything.

I haven't seen anything in the local papers about an upcoming sale and I certainly don't think Disney will purchase SW...now or ever.

The last that I had heard, it seems that Inbev is holding onto the entertainment division for now, in hopes that a future turn-around in the economy will bring more (and higher) offers to the table.

The only thing I have heard is just rumor but here it goes:

Disney wants to buy SeaWorld San Diego and Orlando but none of the other parks. SeaWorld ties into the Animal Kingdom theme and will relieve Disney of overcrowding on some of its busiest times(how, I don't know).

InBev can't hold onto the parks for too long because they got in way over their heads when they purchased Budweiser. They need to liquadate the parks as soon as possible or they might go under.(Again just telling you the rumor).

I've heard every rumor out there from Disney to the Busch family to other companies like Parques Reunidos to even Universal,so basically right now nobody knows anything. The last i heard as someone said was that Inbev might hold on to them for a while longer.Part of me tells me that having Disney purchase all the parks might be a good thing and part of me says It won't be good,no competition is not a good thing. It might be good to know the parks are in good hands with Disney but things like Disney and their handling of major thrill rides leaves me clueless.I wouldn't mind the parks getting separated into different companies as long as they're good companies who can maintain the parks.I don't think I can imagine a Disney bus going outside Disney property to Sea World.

Yeah that was one thing that has puzzled me. Dinsey likes to keep a captive audience and keep everything contained. This just does not fit their equation unless they bought the park, knocked it down and rebuilt it op. Maybe in a good economy that seems reasonable but with Disney whining losses, park cut backs and lay offs how could they make that happen?

Exactly...that's why I don't see Disney being a serious contender for SW...that and there would be NO way to shuttle onsite guests back and forth w/o massive delays everywhere. It just won't happen.

Yep, Disney builds parks from scratch. They don't take over someone elses parks and then make them their own. Can't see Disney buying SW.
