I've had two acupuncture treatments in the hope of curing the tinnitus I've had for almost a year now. The first was last Tuesday evening and I didn't notice any difference. I tried it again this past Tuesday evening. This time it was a more "intense" session. He manipulated the needles every few minutes. The ones in my right leg and right arm hurt so much he took them out. I don't know much about acupuncture so I don't know if this was an indication that something was happening or not. I just know I couldn't tolerate the pain.
Anyway, the result yesterday and today is that my tinnitus is MUCH LOUDER!
The accupuncturist thinks this is not a bad thing because he feels as least we have effected it, which is the first step in curing it. Of course, he doesn't have to live with the jet engines I now have in my ears 24/7.
I don't know how I feel about this. Do I go back with the hope that he WILL be able to cure it? Or should I not go back because now I am afraid it's going to get even louder?
BTW, I have been to my GP and two ENT's. I've had a Apparently there is nothing wrong medically that could be causing my tinnitus.
