DD is interested in a job with max 12 hours weekly, AND they would have to be flexible in scheduling. She is a music ed major, has classes M-F 8-4 some days and 10-5 some days, must spend 40 hours this semester observing in a public school. Her program/scholarship require her to participate in all woodwind events, attend a minimum of 8 other concerts each semester, and to play in athletic band at all home basketball games (men's&women's).

She heard Torrid schedules very few hours.

I don't, but I hear good things about working there from a couple of friends who do. In fact, they both insist I should apply because they know I shop there all the time. They tell me the store is good about scheduling around employees' obligations and that they like students and moms because they don't want people who will quit for lack of full time hours. I don't know if that is just our local store or a corporate mindset, but if our closest store wasn't so far away I might have considered it as a low-stress "mom" job when my youngest started school.
