This is the code for the Rocker Fruit company...somebody has stated here that they are now in the travel agent business and the code is OK....but still trying to verify... It is for Dollar....

anybody use it.????

Yes, Yes, and Yes.....I know that code is only for the state of Florida and has to be put in the Corporate field, not the promo field.

But it works and it's great and it's cheap.

I have a rate reserved with this code but on my reservation it states that you must sho association ID at the counter. Has anyone rented with this code and did they ask for your ID?

No ID needed. They say it's just an automatic field in their system and not something they are concerned with.

How are you guys booking this?I tried thriugh the Dollar site and through Southwests, but neither is showing the discount.:(

I put it in the CD Number area...They give great discounts...

Just got off he phone with dollar and they say I need an ID...So, I'm not convinced to just show up..

:sunny: I was using this code too, but went to mousesavers and got a new code that saved me even more money ::yes:: I am using the code MC that is from Southwest airlines and it worked great for me. You may want to check it out as saving money is the name of the game :wave2:

... didn't you reserve a vehicle with Dollar using the FLTVL code?

I remember this only because a couple of months ago there was discussion about this code, and how it brought good rates at Christmas. At the time I mentally noted how we both were visiting "the World" for X-mas/New Year's.

I am asking now, because I thought the FLTVL code was giving similar rates to the OL5040 code. I am not questioning your motives or anything; just wondering if there was some problem with the FLTVL code that I was unaware of.

When I tried the two codes to compare against each other as I am trying to book now, the OL5040 came up significantly less, as in $179 versus $158 for an intermediate base rate. The overall rate with taxes and charges still is not less than I have reserved through National, but I am trying everything right now because last year I reserved for $103 base rate for a week with an intermediate and I am having total issues with the rental rates this year.

Never mind, the darn thing toggled the type of car on me while I was testing the two codes. They do come out exactly the same.

I am getting better rates than this rate at National using the steps outlined at Mousesavers and my BJ's coupons just so everybody knows.

Not nosey....but my plans have changed a million times...first tried to fly, so I rented a mini van from dollar out of Orlando....couldn't find a acceptable airfare, then decided on taking the autotrain, now got great airfare into St. Pete....so the dollar ressie out of orlando is long since been canceled and I'm trying to get something resonable out of St. Pete....

I have rented a van through National to get us from the airport and back if need be...but lo and be hold my dd's friend is joining us mid trip and I need to get back and forth to the airport again in Tampa...so, I need a car for another 2 days....hence the on going saga for a decent rate...for the entire time I'm there...

Sorry I can't offer any help or suggestions; even though I tried playing around for you with different codes for x-mas week at PIE, including one I found at destinationcoupons.com (DESFL).

In case you didn't already know, the onsite rental car companies at PIE are National, Avis, Alamo, Enteprise and Hertz. Dollar is off-site, and you must call for pick-up to their location.

Good luck, and have a wonderful Christmas at WDW!:earsgirl:

FFYS.....I PM'd you today....check your pms....thanks

You can call the Orlando Dollar Office and verify that the OL5040 code is active and DOES NOT need any special ID.

They're quite helpful

Called Orlando Dollar office today and got a verbal OK that an ID was not needed for the OL5040 code....which is a great start but I'm flying into St. Pete.....so, now I need to check with that dollar office....It's seeming a lot more realistic that the OL5040 code will work for us at Christmas...

OL5040 is good throughout the state!....no ID needed....and if they're out of vans, I read some people are booking Luxury cars at the same price. They will do in a pinch if you can't find a minivan for the dates you need and seat 5-6 comfortably. But for every date I've tried and every location in FLA(except for Dec 24th or 25th pickup in Orlando) they seem to have stock available at these rates.

Yay!!

I've got a van booked at St Pete for the dates that I need...thanks ffys....The code saved me a bundle....but I was just a little nervous that I might get stuck with a great big bill.....glad I was able to verify with your info...
