Hi everyone
I cannot get over these discounts Disney is releasing with the 4 nights/3 free and they have extended them through August, I also know the FD will be coming out soon through Sept, just wondering if anyone thinks anything will be released for Oct - Dec??? I am interested to see if anything else gets released????:confused3

There were alot of different offers last year at that time, so I expect there will be this year, that is why I have booked a room only.

So you booked a room-only...what's your plan if something comes out? Like if its a room-only code can you just apply it to an existing reservation? If its a package deal, can you just make your room-only into a package deal?

I'm debating booking a room-only or waiting to see what comes out since our dates are flexible. Hmmmm.... :rolleyes1

I'm not the OP, but I am guessing the reason she booked room only is because of the more liberal cancellation policy. If you book a pkg and make changes within 45 days of your check in date, you may have to pay a fee. A pkg must be paid in full at 45 days out whereas the balance on a room only ressie is not due until check in. If a room only code comes out you can apply it to your current reservation. If a pkg code comes out, you would have to cancel the room only, and rebook the pkg. The confirmation numbers are different for pkgs and room only. The room confirmation number is longer (like 12 or 13 numbers), whereas a pkg confirmation number is shorter (like 9 numbers or so). A pkg code can not be applied to a room only reservation, you have to cancel and rebook.

I booked a room only so that I could get a room at the resort of my choice with the bed of my choice, but yes, I can convert that into a package if a great deal comes out later on (which can be easier with a AAA rep than a Disney rep). I plan on renewing my Annual Pass in June and am hoping that a great annual Pass discount will become available as it did last year.

I like to go at a popular time, so I know I will get what I want this way. I try to stay on top of the discounts and packages so I can convert without loosing my choice of rooms. We like being able to get a King Bed at either POR or POFQ, this way I have that and I also have a AAA discount right now. Sometimes the AAA discount is better, but I wiljust hvae to wait and see.

I hardly ever wait until the last minute to book a room, unless we decide to take a last minute weekend trip as we are doing this weekend and I was lucky enough to get a AAA discount.
