How was it? Is it appropriate for kids 3, 5 and 8?

It was ok. I think it is appropriate for your children- I have children age 3,5, & 8 as well. I does jump around alot which got a little confusing.

Of the 3 kids movies out right now I much preferred Monsters in the Attic (a little more geared toward adults though). My kids favorite was G-Force.

We usually don't go to this many movies, but we were trying to get in a few fun things these last couple of weeks before school since we didn't go on vacation this summer.

We went to this yesterday and we were the only ones in the theater and for good reason. I may seem harsh but I thought it was not good at all and my four year old got scared at a few of the scenes but he scares easily so keep that in mind. My 6 yr old liked it though. I wouldn't say it was her favorite movie though. I would agree with the other post and say it jumps around a lot and the special effects were not good at all!!!! Probably the first movie I left and really was irritated at how much money I spent for it.
