Anybody recognize this toy???

I just picked it up at a flea market. Thought it was kinda cool. It's a really old Minnie Mouse rolly polly plush with a musical ball inside. It's about 8.5 inches tall. Plush with a plastic face and vinyl (?) ears. Tag says GUND in New York, but made in Japan.
I have photos if you'd like a link. I just can't post the link here, still a newbie (though lurking for years)

I'd love to know when it was made if anybody has any info about it.
