Anybody Play Warhammer 40K?

DS has been bugging me to start playing 40K for about a year now. He is still pretty young (8) but we decided to take the plunge and got him the Assault on Black Reach starter set. He's now taken the Academy courses and I have to admit I think I may be getting a bit addicted too . We've now decided on building an army of Blood Angels and just picked up a Attack Bike. With DS being so young I'm having to help him with the painting and getting his army together (trying for 1000 pts ish). I'm an torn between feeling a tad nerdy and totally enjoying this LOL!!!!! Jusy wondering if anyone else plays or has kids who play.

In theory I play, by which I mean I have armies, even though I do not play. I have (last time I checked) a nominal Space Marine force (vanilla, chapter of my own taken from the old Rogue Trader book, but probably barely 2k in points), a Tau force (maybe 3k), and my Ork hordes (a lot - but not as many points. A couple hundred boyz is still only 1200 points or so.)

I also have armies for WFB (Ogres, Dwarves, Skaven and Orcs), and just picked up the Lord of the Rings set. DS is 6, so he is not quite old enough for WFB or 40k, but he can probably play LoTR.

I know this is an old thread, but being a huge 40k fan I had to respond.

I play, quite a bit. I have a Sisters of Battle army, and Space Wolves.
I am also very well versed in all the 40k novels.

Blood Angels, nice choice.
