I just bought a pair of Lucchese boots that I got a great deal on from an online Lucchese dealer (more than 60% off the original price). The boots are gorgeous, and I'm very pleased with the fit and comfort.
But (why does there always have to be a but?
) I'm wondering whether I need to send them back. Of course, it's normal for leather boots to have a little bit of squeak in them as they are broken in, and I recognize that. With these boots, one of them is what I would consider normal when you walk in it or flex it (very little noise). The other boot is very different. It sounds like a door that badly needs WD40. If you walked into a room where there was a lot of noise, you probably wouldn't hear it, but if you walked into a store or room with nominal noise, it would be very noticeable.
I can't exchange them because I got the last pair in my size (of course
) so if I send them back, I'll have to settle for my money back. I'm trying to find out if this is normal (this is my first pair of Lucchese boots). Any input?
Thanks!
