Anybody not doing excursions in Nassau?

We are planning on doing our own trip to Atlantis. Check it out ,check out the aquarium,maybe do a little gambling and head back to the ship. I was not impressed with Freeport last year and Nassau sounds similar.

I did not know you could use the Radisson facilities, so we went to the Wyndham. I didn't want to commit to an expensive excusion not knowing how the weather would be - on our first trip, it was cloudy and later rained on our Nassau day.

The Wyndham beach was not as nice as Castaway Cay, but any Bahamian beach looks good after winter in PA. Our kids enjoyed the ocean and the pool, and we left to go back to the ship around 12:30 when we all got hungry. It only cost us $40.00 in cab fare as opposed to the $150.00 Blue Lagoon excusion (we are a family of 4).

The kids went to the Lab at about 3:00 so DH and I left the ship again and did some shopping on Bay Street. The dock area has improved SO MUCH in the two years since we were there. The teenagers on graduation trips at the Wyndham were much more obnoxious than any of the local Bahamians!
